Pokemon GO only just came out a few days ago. Of course, new features will be added to the game over time.

One feature Niantic will be interested in bringing in the future is trading, which company CEO John Hanke acknowledged as a “core element.” It’ll tie into the app’s virtue of players interacting with each other in virtual and real worlds.

Aside from that, Tech Insider reports that other new elements planned include more ways to play with Pokestops and Gyms. Currently, Hanke stated that they’re only in Pokemon as “very most basic versions”, though in the future, it’ll be possible for players to “customize their functions in other ways.” Niantic is also working on a global leaderboard so that players can see who’s the top trainer.

That’s not all though. Improvements are also on the way for the AR technology. Hanke said what’s currently in the app is “great first step,” but there’s more they can do. Regarding Pokemon GO on dedicated AR devices, Hanke teased: “That may be a fun thing to take advantage of.”

After originally launching for the Xbox in late 2001, EA and Pseudo Interactive’s Cel Damage came to the GameCube a few months later. Its reception was a bit mixed, but the developer hoped to create a sequel that would build on the original while taking feedback into account.

Unseen64 and Liam Robertson take a look at what Pseudo Interactive had in store for Cel Damage 2 in the video below. Ultimately, the project never picked up steam as it was unable to secure a publisher. EA, who handled the original, wasn’t interested – nor was SEGA, Ubisoft, or Midway.

Japanese variety show Pokenchi will be airing footage from Pokemon Sun/Moon during its July 17 episode (July 16 in North America). It’s not yet known what will be shown. Keep in mind that Pokenchi has only covered Tapu Koko from the recent reveals. Regardless, new content should be coming soon since the latest issue of CoroCoro releases on July 15.

Update: Here’s Yacht Club’s official video:

Strangely it’s about half as long, so we’ve kept our original recording in place.

Inti Creates and Yacht Club Games are teaming up for the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack in the west. But the two sides are working together on a second collaboration that was unveiled at BitSummit today.

During a Nindies panel at the event, a trailer was shown for amiibo support in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. The video, posted below, highlights how players can challenge Shovel Knight to a fight while controlling Copen or Gunvolt.

The Shovel Knight sprite was designed by well-known pixel artist Masaya Suzuki from Inti Creates. Suzuki has worked on classic series including Breath of Fire and Mega Man Zero.
