Molly Maggot hitting the North American Wii U eShop on Thursday

On Thursday, indie developer Gnobsoftware will be releasing Molly Maggot on the North American Wii U eShop. Here’s a brief overview of the M-rated title:
“Play as Molly the maggot as she begins her life of decay flesh munching. WARNING a maggot life is a hard life. See how hard maggots have it as you defend yourself against other decay eaters and the corpses own body fighting back. Enjoy and explore an anatomy based map in story mode or try to make it through extra mode with randomly spawning exits. Both stages can be played in hard or if you dare extreme mode.”
Molly Maggot will be available for $1.99. View a trailer below.

GameStop: Save $25 on the Hyrule Gold Edition New 3DS XL

GameStop recently put New 3DS XL systems on sale for $175. However, the Hyrule Gold Edition system was not in stock. That just changed within the past day or so, and orders can now be placed here.
Japanese Hyrule Gold Edition New 3DS XL to include Hyrule Warriors Legends fairy costume code

The Hyrule Gold Edition New 3DS XL will finally be launching in Japan next month. When it hits store shelves, the system will come with a little bonus.
Nintendo has revealed that a download code will be included for a classic Link costume usable with a fairy in Hyrule Warriors Legends. Note, however, that the game itself is not included.
We’ll probably be seeing this costume/DLC when Hyrule Warriors Legends heads west in March. It’s also unlikely that it will be exclusive to the bundle in Japan.
Super Mario Maker version 1.31 out now

Last week, Super Mario Maker received its 1.30 update. This added some new elements and compatibility with the Bookmark portal site. Today, Nintendo has followed that up with another small patch.
Super Mario Maker’s 1.31 update is now available to download. You can grab it by booting up the game, or wait for it to be downloaded automatically.
Given the small increase in the version number, there’s not too much behind today’s update. Nintendo says some problems have been fixed so that the game can be played more comfortably.
298MB of free space is required to download the update.

Splatoon’s Piranha Pit map now live

Splatoon’s updates will soon be coming to an end, but new content is being added for just a little while longer. The game’s latest map, Piranha Pit, has now joined the rotation. You can see footage of it right here.
