Blacksea Odyssey

Digerati announced today that it will be bringing Blacksea Odyssey to Switch next month. Find all of the details below, along with a trailer.

Hamster held one of its regular live streams today where the next batch of NeoGeo games were announce for Switch. Puzzle Bobble, Puzzle Bobble 2, Thrash Rally, Stakes Winner 2, King of the Monsters 2, Neo Geo Cup ’98: The Road to the Victory, and Twinkle Star Sprites will be sold via the eShop.

Hamster didn’t provide release dates, but these titles will be rolling out over the next few weeks. We’ll let you know about weekly NeoGeo titles on Switch per usual.

Crashlands

St. Louis, MO – Nov. 1, 2018 – Crashlands, the crafting-adventure with RPG elements and more than 500,000 players, breaks orbit and lands on Nintendo Switch Nov. 8. Butterscotch Shenanigans will debut co-op on Nintendo’s platform.

Flux’s day began like any intergalactic trucker’s: hurtlin’ through the stars with space-coffee in hand, ready to bring packages of joy to various worlds. Then some jerk named Hewgodooko teleported in, wrecked her ship in search of useful tech, and caused Flux and her robot assistant Juicebox to crash-land (wink wink) on Woanope.

As it turns out, Touch Detective: Funghi’s Big Breed won’t be a Japanese-only release. D3 Publisher announced today that the game is receiving a western release on December 20. It’ll be distributed outside of Japan under the new name Funghi Puzzle: Funghi Explosion.

Bug Fixes

  • Updated Port-A-Challenge grenade names.
  • Improved clarity of where to throw Port-A-Challenge grenades.

Weapons + Items

  • Balloons added
    • Epic rarity
      • Comes with 20 deployable balloons.
        • Allows the player to defy gravity by holding up to 6 balloons at a time.
        • Primary fire button to inflate a balloon, secondary fire button to let go of a balloon.
      • Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas, and Vending Machines.
      • NOTE: Don’t float too high for too long, balloons only last so long at max build height.
  • Grappler
    • When grappling as a vehicle passenger, the velocity of your vehicle is factored into the grapple force.
      • Only occurs in instances where vehicle velocity will be a net gain to grapple force.
    • Grappling as a vehicle passenger will now cause the vehicle to travel in a straight line to its destination rather than traveling in an arc.
  • Vaulted
    • Semi-Auto Sniper
    • Guided Missile
    • Dual Pistols
      • These items will remain available in Playground Mode.
  • 25% of explosive damage will now penetrate through structures and the environment.

During a comprehensive interview about the development of SEGA Ages – Phantasy Star, producer Kagasei Shimomura revealed that the game will release in the West on November 15. We’ll have to wait another couple weeks for the special edition of the classic RPG.
