During Game Live Japan, a Q&A was published with producer Tomoya Asano. Asano was asked about the game’s genre, length, and when more information was shared.

Katana Zero free DLC now six times bigger than originally planned, will still be free
Posted on 3 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Katana Zero’s big, free DLC remains in the works two years after the game initially released. Askiisoft provided a status update today to let fans know what’s been happening behind the scenes.
When we heard about the DLC last year, Askiisoft said that it had grown in scope to be three times bigger than originally planned. That has since increased to six times the original planned size. “That’s a bit over half the size of the main game,” Askiisoft said. The studio thinks of the DLC “more like Katana 1.5.”
As for when we’ll be seeing the DLC, there’s still no word on timing. Although there’s still plenty of work to do, the plan is now set and the scope won’t expand any further.
Here’s the full update from Askiisoft:

Square Enix shares statement on Balan Wonderworld’s photo-sensitive epilepsy risk, says it’s fixed with day one patch

Some pretty concerning news started to spread yesterday regarding an actual health risk while playing Balan Wonderworld. When going up against the final boss, there’s a photo-sensitive epilepsy risk. Those that suffer from seizures or flashing effects in general could be putting themselves in harm’s way.
If there’s one bright spot to the situation, it’s that Square Enix has already addressed the issue, which is a result of an apparent bug. The company says that the game’s day one patch – which should be live – removes any potential health triggers.
The full statement is as follows:
