Samurai Warriors 5 is in development for Switch, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force announced during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. A release is planned for this summer.
Samurai Warriors 5 is the latest addition to the hack and slash franchise. The previous entry in the franchise Samurai Warriors 4, came out in 2014. Samurai Warriors 5 marks a return of the series to Nintendo platforms.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reveals Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2

During today’s ongoing Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo shared the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news. The broadcast announced that Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are joining the game.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be unveiling and releasing two more characters later in 2021 as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Min Min, Steve & Alex, and Sephiroth are already available through the season pass. Fighters Pass Vol. 1 featured Joker, Hero, Banjo & Kazooie, Terry, and Byleth.

A new Nintendo Direct will be airing not too long from now – it’ll be the first general presentation since September 2019. The fun begins at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will let fans vote on the game’s next character in new poll

This month’s issue of V Jump provides the latest news on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Bandai Namco is still going strong with DLC for the game, and fans will soon be able to vote on the next character.
Bandai Namco will be hosting a poll with three different possible characters: Ultra Instinct Omen Goku, Bergamo, and Dyspo. The one with the most votes will ultimately be added to the game.

Rumor: Super Mario 3D World files contain data for Toadette, including voice line for being selected

Most Mario games only have you playing as Mario himself, but Super Mario 3D World is a bit different. Other characters from the Mushroom Kingdom can be used and even have their own abilities and gimmicks.
Toad is fully playable in Super Mario 3D World, but Toadette is not. However, based on a bit of datamining, it seems that Nintendo at least toyed around with the idea.

Bandai Namco today announced that a trio of characters are joining Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions this spring. Mark Owairan, Shingo Aoi, and Ryoma Hino will be offered as DLC.

SNK has announced that a Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection compilation will be released on Switch, featuring a bundle of classic games that have previously been offered as digital downloads.
