Nintendo: Switch has best October yet in the U.S., over 735,000 units sold, second-highest October for any system ever

Switch had its best October yet from a sales perspective in the United States. Over 735,000 units were sold between the original Switch and Switch Lite, Nintendo has announced. That mark is the second-highest October mark ever, only behind the 807,000 units sold by Wii in 2008. Total Switch sales in the U.S. are now at over 22.5 million units.
Switch was again the best-selling console in the United States last month. That’s been true for 23 consecutive months, which is the most months in a row for any console since NPD began tracking data.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit devs initially thought that including drift would be “impossible”

The ability to drift is a staple of the Mario Kart series. However, for Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, the feature wasn’t always a sure thing to be included.
In a recent blog post, Velan Studios Karthik Bala co-founder noted how adding drift initially seemed “impossible”. But the functionality eventually found its way in following a “late-project weekend experiment at Velan, with some suggestions from the Nintendo team”.

Poison Control heading west in April 2021, character trailer

NIS America has dated Poison Control for the west. The shooter-meets-action title will launch for Switch on April 13, 2021 in North America, April 16 in Europe, and April 20 in Oceania, the company announced today.

To celebrate its first anniversary, Daemon X Machina received a major 1.4.0 update last week. A bunch of new content was added in the patch. For those that need a reminder of everything included, we have the full roundup here.
Another small patch has been released to address an issue from version 1.4.0. Players can now access version 1.4.0, which fixes a bug in which the new mission “Destroy Eclipse RT: Ω” would not be added.
