As mentioned earlier today, a demo for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD has dropped on the Japanese Switch eShop with English support. Check out some footage below.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was remade for Switch many years after it debuted on the Game Boy. Rather than re-releasing the game as it was, Nintendo and Grezzo opted for a new art style.

Graphic refining director Yoshiki Haruhana spoke about reimagining the visuals of Link’s Awakening in a new blog piece. He shared the following:

A Stranger Things collaboration recently came to Dead by Daylight, but that’s not the only big game partnering with the Netflix series. Starting October 14, Stranger Things is invading Haunted Allows with a themed stages and items.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Playtonic and Team17 released Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on various platforms this week, including Switch. As is tradition at this point, Digital Foundry examined the game to see how it holds up from a technical perspective.

When playing docked, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair maintains a resolution of 1360×765. Portable mode reduces the image to 960×540. Fortunately, the platformer almost always run at 60 frames per second on Switch.

The Switch eShop has updated in Japan, and a demo for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD has just gone live. We imagine that it will be offered in other regions soon as well, but as long as you have a Japanese Nintendo Account, you should be able to download it. Full English support is included.

Capcom has issued a pair of pre-order trailers for the Switch versions of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Both can be found below.

Inn Games is adding a special bonus to its new Switch game Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. The original arcade version of Bubble Bobble from 1986 will be included, meaning there’ll be even more content to explore.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends launches for Switch in Europe on November 19. It will be followed by the North American release early next year.
