It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. Dragon Quest XI S and Pokemon Sword/Shield continue to battle for the top Nintendo spot, with Square Enix’s RPG reclaiming the position this week. Zelda: Link’s Awakening is also now in the top ten.

Nintendo has opened the official North American teaser site for Astral Chain. You can access it here.

While we wait for the full site to open, you can watch a trailer for the game and view some screenshots. Plenty of gameplay details are included as well.

At E3 2019, Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and it’s coming to Switch. A couple of retailers then listed the game, which indicated that a physical release is planned. Of course, that doesn’t actually mean much until pre-orders open.

Enter Play-Asia. The retailer has just opened reservations for the RPG, further confirming that a physical version is happening. Pre-orders are available for US and European versions. We’ll have to see if the $59.99 price point sticks, but this is good news for collectors.

Final Fantasy VIII is due out on Switch later this year.

NIS America held one of its latest live streams this week, and showed off a ton of footage from the English build of Destiny Connect. We have the full recording below.

Bandai Namco has released a new DonKatsu Fight mode for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun.

In it, players are pitted against each other in a one-on-one fight. The objective is to knock down your opponent’s HP by using power-ups. The mode supports local multiplayer as well as CPU versus.

Nintendo intends to release a pair of green Switch Joy-Con, a listing on Best Buy reveals. It will supposedly be exclusive to the retailer in the United States.

Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo has previously stated that it would be difficult to bring its games to Switch due to a lack of experience with the system and having to focus on its fan base that lies with PlayStation platforms. However, other companies stepping in to port its games are very much a possibility. We did see an example of this when Nippon Ichi Software handled Ys VIII for Switch.

Although it’s unclear what to expect from Falcom going forward, Kondo did share an encouraging comment with DualShockers. When asked about the possibility of additional Switch ports, he said:
