Switch

On top of the already planned port of Back in 1995, Japanese developer Throw the Warped code out today announced that they are also bringing a four-player co-op robot action game to the Switch in the form of Demolition Robots K.K..

Although no release date has been revealed quite yet, some preliminary details have been shared through the game’s official website. From the sound of things, a team of up to four players will be tasked to work together and destroy an entire city as efficiently as possible, as damaging friends will result in a penalty and less payout for completion of the job.

Kicking it off quickly, it has been confirmed that a prototype version of Demolition Robots K.K. will be playable at the Digital Games Expo 2018 on November 4 in Akihabara.

Some early screens of the game can be viewed in the gallery below.

Although the necessary conditions are unknown at this time, players can unlock an extra boss battle with Enna Kros within the Nine Wood Hills coffee shop. Reportedly, she wields God-like techniques that can be used “without effort”.

As far as Mirages go, the new cast that has been revealed includes two characters from the World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo mobile game, as well as two familiar summon based Mirages. The details, as well as some fresh screenshots, can be viewed below.

Nintendo has posted another update to the Smash Bros. Blog for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, we have an introduction to the Living Room stage.

Here’s the overview:

When Nintendo issues a new firmware update, it sometimes comes with a related controller update. That has happened once again with version 6.1.0.

With the latest Switch upgrade, you’ll find a Joy-Con controller update waiting for you. Access it by visiting the system settings, going to the “Controllers and Sensors” tab, and then selecting “Update Controllers”. We’re never quite sure what’s involved with these controller updates, but there’s certainly no harm in going through with the process.

Nintendo Switch

A new Switch system update has just gone live. Nintendo has started distribution of version 6.1.0 for all users.

According to Nintendo, today’s update makes “system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”. This includes taking care of a problem “where certain games don’t recognize a Nintendo Switch Online membership for a short time after purchase”.

This week, Ubisoft is bringing Risk to Switch. If you’d like to try out the digital board game, you might be interested to hear that a demo is starting to go live on the eShop.

Currently the demo can be found on the Japanese and Australian eShops. As long as you have a Nintendo Account associated with either of these regions, it should be available to download. Other regions will likely follow very soon as well.
