Square Enix on Octopath Traveler exceeding expectations, can expect similar games in the future

Square Enix held its own conference for financial results earnings earlier today. The company had quite a bit to say about the performance of Octopath Traveler.
The new Switch RPG had sales stronger than Square Enix’s pre-sales forecast. Moreover, it exceeded expectations especially in the United States and Europe. The game also saw higher-than-average ratio of download version vs. packaged.

Bandai Namco: Switch excels at “igniting play”, willing to provide more games

Bandai Namco held a conference earlier today for its latest financial earnings. During the event, the company commented on Switch.
Bandai Namco stated that making games for Switch requires a different approach than the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the system is great at “igniting play” anytime, anywhere, and with anyone. The firm is willing to provide more games on the platform as a result.

Hold the Bomber up with the A Button and a massive explosion will occur in 1.5 seconds. You will take less damage by moving away from the centre of the explosion, so if you’re about to get caught in it, try to get away!

Hyakki Castle coming to Nintendo Switch

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Hyakki Castle is coming to Nintendo Switch. The first-person dungeon crawler will be released in Japan on August 30th. There’s an English version of the game available on Steam right now, so it’s quite possible that the Switch version will see a Western release as well.

PowerA selling wired chrome controllers for Switch

PowerA has updated its online store with a new set of wired Switch controllers. For this latest batch, a chrome design has been used. Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Princess Peach are represented here.
All of the controllers have been licensed by Nintendo. They include a 10ft removable USB cable, and are priced at $29.99 each.
