Over in Europe, Rising Star Games is handling publishing duties for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. The company intends to release a collector’s edition, and pre-orders are now open. Amazon UK has it here.

The Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Collector’s Edition includes the game, metal pin badges, a mug, tote bag, collector’s box, and DLC.

Amazon US is also taking pre-orders for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope – Special Edition (just the game). The official product page is here.

Cat Quest will be receiving a physical release on Switch, according to a listing on 365games. The UK retailer has it down for July 6. That date as well as the physical version in general haven’t been confirmed, but an announcement could be coming soon.

PQube did publish a physical version of Cat Quest on the PlayStation 4. Giving Switch the same treatment would certainly make sense.

Nintendo Switch

Switch did well for GameStop in 2017. In the retailer’s latest financial results, Nintendo’s console was mentioned as a big factor for driving sales. For the fourth quarter, GameStop’s hardware sales increased 44.8%, which was led by demand for Switch. And for fiscal 2017 as a whole, hardware sales rose 28.3% – again thanks to Switch.

During the financial call for GameStop’s financial results, one investor brought up Switch again. CEO Michael Mauler fielded a question about attachment rate, and whether it will continue to rise as more systems are purchased and the installed base increases.

If you want to pick up the title as soon as possible, look for the digital version on April 23. The physical version is currently planned for May 29. This is all assuming that there aren’t any last minute delays.

Another Splatfest for Splatoon 2 is in the books. The latest North American competition, which had baseball and soccer going head to head, has concluded. We now have the results.

Team Soccer had a slight edge in popularity. Yet Team Baseball managed to secure 1% victories with both solo and team battles. That was enough to send them to victory, with a final score of 2-1 in favor of Team Baseball.

LEGO The Incredibles

Warner Bros. recently announced LEGO The Incredibles, and it’s heading to Switch in Japan. Insider managed to obtain a few details since then. The site goes over how long the project has been in development for and gameplay tidbits, and shares some developer comments from TT Games executive producer Nick Ricks.

Here’s the roundup of information:

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy

In this month’s issue of MCV, NIS America president Takuro Yamashita reveals some very interesting information about Switch. Yamashita revealed a deal is in place with Nintendo on SNK, spoke about how the company’s Switch games are outselling their PS4 counterparts, and gave an update on the performance of Disgaea 5 Complete.

Yamashita first discussed SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, and revealed some details about working with Nintendo that hadn’t been known previously. Nintendo actually wanted to work with SNK on an exclusive basis, which eventually resulted in a deal. Only the Switch version will be sold physically in the west, and Nintendo will be a distributor that includes buying many units.

The first few months of 2018 have been a bit slow for Switch, but things are picking up in a big way next month. Nintendo has a couple of re-releases planned for May, and third-parties have a ton of titles on the way as well.
