Media Create has offered a little bit of additional information about sales in Japan during the week of November 6. Specifically, we have news about hardware sales.

We know that Switch sold 80,000 in Japan last week. According to Media Create, the Super Mario Odyssey bundle itself sold 24,000 units.

Overall hardware sales in Japan came in at 130,000, which is 110.43% as much as the previous week. That Super Mario Odyssey bundle was a contributing factor and helped offset the decrease of other hardware.


The fourth North American Splatfest in Splatoon 2 has come to an end. In the latest event, players were asked if they prefer sci-fi or fantasy.

Team Fantasy had the edge in both popularity and solo battles at 57% and 51% respectively. Team Sci-Fi won slightly more team battles at 51%, but that wasn’t enough.

The final score was 1 point for Team Sci-Fi and 2 points for Team Fantasy.

Mojang held a special Minecraft Earth event earlier today. All sorts of big news was shared at the event, including

First, the new update for Switch is officially coming in 2018. Mojang said that it wants to ensure it can deliver players “the best experience possible.” The Super Duper Graphics pack is also pushed back to 2018 since a lot of work still needs to be done.

Nintendo released the latest major update for ARMS this past week. Version 4.0.0 added in support for the brand new fighter Misango.

Soon after that update premiered, Nintendo sent out another patch. The latest update for ARMS is now version 4.0.1.

As for what it does, that’s somewhat of a mystery at the moment. Nintendo hasn’t posted any patch notes anywhere – be it its Japanese website or North American support page. We can at least guess that it implements some fixes from 4.0.0. If we do get an official notice from Nintendo about the update, we’ll let you know.

This past week, ARMS received the brand new fighter Misango. The Nintendo Treehouse Log covered the character in-depth as part of a post published a few days ago.

On its social media channels yesterday, Image & Form posted a mysterious video that might be hinting at upcoming announcements.

Towards the end of the video, the date December 10, 2015 is highlighted. Right after that, we see a Joy-Con flying off-screen. SteamWorld Heist happened to launch on December 10, 2015… so perhaps that game is coming to Switch?

During the latest Arc System Works live stream, a few characters from the crossover fighter BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle were shown. We have the relevant recording below.

You might be interested to know that the new Switch version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim wasn’t made entirely be Bethesda. Iron Galaxy was brought in to work on the project, the official Twitter account for Bethesda Game Studios reveals.

Iron Galaxy does have quite a bit of porting experience under its belt, so this news isn’t entirely surprising. Fortunately, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim turned out very well on Switch.

Nintendo once again updated Splatoon 2 with a new weapon, allowing players to access the Foil Flingza Roller. We’ve posted some footage of the addition below.
