December 2017 NPD: Switch sells the most overall hardware units

This month’s NPD report hasn’t been published just yet, but we do have some early information. Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg actually shared a very noteworthy tidbit on Twitter.

Greenberg indicated that Switch came out on top last month. According to the data he has access to, Nintendo’s console sold the most overall hardware units in December.

Splatoon 2: Patch 2.2.0 releasing next week, includes several balance changes

Nintendo has announced that patch 2.2.0 for Splatoon 2 will be released next week, on January 17th at 10 AM JST. This will be a fairly major balance update with changes to a lot of weapons. Fans have kindly translated the patch notes, which we’ve put below. We will inform you once Nintendo publishes the official English patch notes.

Splatoon 2: Dapple Dualies Nouveau being added to the game today/tomorrow

It’s the end of the week, which means another new weapon is coming to Splatoon 2. The Dapple Dualies Nouveau are identical to the regular Dapple Dualies in terms of stats, but come with the Toxic Mist sub-weapon and the Ink Storm special instead. They’ll be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.
