Switch

Nintendo provided new information about the ARMS Global Testpunch following the event’s end this weekend. Ninjara was the fighter players used the most, followed by Min Min.

By the way, the top win rate was another character – not Ninjara or Min Min. Nintendo will unveil those results later.

On Friday, a new entry hit the Nintendo Treehouse Log on Tumblr about motion controls in ARMS. Two more posts have been added since then.

On the page located here, JC Rodrigo for Nintendo goes over motion controls. You can also read another entry here talking about how there’s no wrong choice in selecting either motion controls or button controls.

Capcom is planning various products surrounding Monster Hunter XX on Switch. We know about the special Switch bundle, and on top of that, there will also be a Monster Hunter XX Limited Edition.

The package will include a copy of the game, mini shoulder bag, Creators Selection Soundtrack with five songs, and a Production Note book similar to the 3DS version earlier in the year. Buyers on the e-Capcom store will also receive one of nine Renkin Style Acrylic Dot Mascots at random.

We’ll also point out that Capcom will release a Monster Hunter XX Value Pack containing copies of the game on Switch and 3DS. The e-Capcom bonuses will be offered here as well.

The ARMS Global Testpunch demo is mostly nonfunctional outside of active hours. Yet Reddit user NefariousSquid discovered one way that you can continue playing the “Warm-Up” practice mode even when the servers are down.

Assuming you already have save data where you’ve progressed past the tutorial, simply follow these steps:

  1. On your Nintendo Switch, go to System Settings -> Internet -> Internet Settings -> [your network] -> Change Settings.
  2. Enable proxy settings, and change the server address to 1.1.1.1 (or some other fake address).
  3. Save, then open the ARMS Global Testpunch.
  4. Select Party Match, select a character, then go to Warm-Up.

After 2 minutes and 30 seconds, you’ll receive an error message. It’s fine though, since you can just go right back in and continue practicing.

Capcom

Japanese publication Toyo Keizai recently spoke with Capcom COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto. Switch was one topic that came up during the discussion, and it’s actually something that we already covered a couple of days ago.

Since there has been some confusion about what was actually said, we decided to translate Tsujimoto’s full comments. Our understanding is he does not actually state explicitly that Ultra Street Fighter II will directly influence Capcom’s support for Switch, including how it sells.

In any case, on with the translation:
