Indivisible confirmed for Switch, physical and digital release
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 12 Comments
Back in 2015, the developer of Invisible showed interest in bringing the game to Switch when the system was known as NX. Then earlier this year, we heard something more concrete as the possibility was actively being looked into.
All turned out well in the end, as Indivisible is now confirmed for Switch. The platformer-RPG will be out on the console next year along side other versions. It will be sold both physically and digitally.
We’ve included a full overview and trailer for Indivisible below.
“Indivisible is a new RPG/platformer IP, starring Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they’ll encounter along the way.
Indivisible is inspired by classic platformers and RPGs, but with the unique characters and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for.
In addition to a fresh spin on RPG gameplay, Indivisible features a deep storyline inspired by southeast Asian and other world mythologies, Lab Zero’s trademark feature-quality 2D hand-drawn animation, a lush soundtrack from legendary Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta, and an opening animation by popular anime studio TRIGGER.”

Today, Nintendo revealed via the official Splatoon Twitter account that a Splatoon-themed headset for the Switch will be released in Japan. Manufactured by video game accessory giant HORI, the headset will allow you to more easily use voice chat in Splatoon 2 (and other supported Switch games) via Nintendo’s smart phone app.
The headset comes with an adapter which you have to connect to both your smartphone and your Switch, which results in better quality audio input and output compared to a setup where you’re just using your smartphone and no headset. The headset will be released on July 21st for a price of 3480 Yen.

Japan Expo Twitter account mentions Mario & Rabbids game
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch | 11 Comments
The Mario & Rabbids crossover game, supposedly titled Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, might just be the video game industry’s worst kept secret. There have been a ton of leaks on the game lately, and we can now add another one to the list.
Japan Expo is one of the biggest video game, anime and Japanese culture conventions in the world. It takes place every July in Paris, and this year will be no exception. The convention’s official Twitter account posted a bunch of new info today, such as what kinds of panels and special events will take place, special guests that will be there etc. They also tweeted out the following: (translated from French) “Nintendo and Ubisoft exclusively present the video game Mario x Rabbids”.
The Tweet has now been deleted, but we saved a screenshot of it:
At this points, there seems to be little doubt that the game is real. Everyone act real surprised when it’s unveiled at E3, alright?
Fire Emblem Warriors: official website and Twitter account launched
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in New Nintendo 3DS, News, Switch | 2 Comments
Nintendo and developer Koei Tecmo have started releasing new information on Fire Emblem Warriors this week, and it doesn’t look like they will be stopping anytime soon. They launched an official website for the game here and have started up a dedicated Twitter account for the game here.
Neither of them contain any new info or screenshots at the moment; it’s mostly a recap of the Famitsu article we covered here. You can listen to some voice clips of the characters on the website though – the main characters, brother and sister Shion and Lian, are actually voiced by real life-siblings as well, Yuma and Maya Uchida.
Both the website and the Twitter account are in Japanese, but we will of course provide you with all the latest info from them in English.

Dragon Quest XI: Details on Veronica, Senya and Homura Village
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News, Switch | 0 comments
Once again, Weekly Jump magazine has some new Dragon Quest XI info in its latest issue. This week, we’ve got new details on two party members and on one new location (thanks to Gematsu for the translation).
Veronica
Veronica hates being treated like a child. She can equip two-handed staffs and whips as weapons. Despite her small size, she is a tomboy who won’t flinch in a fight no matter her opponent. She can unleash beyond-powerful attack spells that prove her use as the party’s attacker.
Spells she can use include:
- “Kafrizzle” – A powerful spell where a pillar of overly-hot flames attack the enemy.
- “Gilaglade” – Heat up and clear away the enemy with the earth-shaking flame that is this powerful attack spell.
Her weapon skills include:
- “Berserk Magic Circle” – A special skill using the two-handed staff that strengthens spells.
- “Extreme Dragon Strike” – A special skill using the whip that consecutively strikes the enemy.
Senya
Senya is a healer who can cure her allies. She can equip spears and sticks. She has a kind heart and gentle personality. In contrast to Veronica, her language is awfully polite. Her easygoing and gentle personality may even make Veronica impatient at times.
Spells she can use include:
- “Kerplunk” – A spell that heals all party members at the expense of herself.
- “Kaswooshle” – An attack spell, which Senya can also use.
- “Holy Light” – No description provided.
Her weapon skills include:
- “Flash Strike” – A special skill using the stick and spear.
Homura Village (Fire Village)
A village at the foot of Hinonogi Volcano characterized by Japanese-style buildings. It thrives in smithing and has a famous steam bath house. There is a shrine in the back of the village where a the shrine maiden who governs over the village lives.

Nintendo says Fire Emblem Switch is “going to be looking beautiful with great graphics”

Nintendo announced a new Fire Emblem game for Switch a few months ago. We’ve yet to see a single image from the game, but it’ll apparently be worth the wait. Nintendo’s Kenta Nakanishi told USgamer in a new interview that “it’s going to be looking beautiful with great graphics”.
That’s not the only thing Nakanishi recently said about the project. This past weekend, we reported him noting that Switch “should be able to offer a completely different Fire Emblem, breathing life into our characters like never before.”

The Switch durability tests aren’t finished just yet. UnlockRiver shared a new one today, which has the system being dropped from a ridiculous 1,000 feet.
Believe it or not, the Switch unit did survive. One of the Joy-Con controllers broke off, but it’s easily replaceable. The unit as a whole still worked amazingly enough.
Here’s the full video from UnlockRiver:
