Following an update to the Nintendo Account User Agreement, the company has warned that it may brick Switch systems by those who “bypass, modify, decrypt, defeat, tamper with” their games.

This particular agreement needs to be agreed upon before you can access Nintendo’s various services. These include the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Switch Online, and games purchased digitally. Basically, unless you’re strictly physical on everything, the agreement is something that you’ll need to sign off on.

Here’s how the agreement looked previously, which was in effect since April 2021:

Gex Trilogy physical

It was only a matter of time until a physical release was confirmed for Gex Trilogy given Limited Run Games’ involvement, and today, the company shared full details plus a release date. The game will launch on June 16, 2025 with boxed versions to follow later in the year.

A standard version, Classic Edition, and Tail Time Edition are planned. The Classic Edition includes the game, retro box, steelbook, soundtrack selection, and 12” x 16” double-sided poster. The Tail Time Edition also includes the game, special box with art by Yoshitaka Amano, retro box, full soundtracks for all games, steelbook, 12” x 16” double-sided poster. 36” inflatable Gex doll, 7” Gex statue, remote pin, and trading cards.

Below is an overview of the game:

Bustafellows Season 2 will be launching for Nintendo Switch on July 17th, 2025 in the west. The first run of physical editions are to include an exclusive character booklet with concept art.

Bustafellows is a romance mystery visual novel series, with the original Bustafellows releasing on Switch in 2021. Bustafellows Season 2 had already released in Japan in 2023, and was confirmed for a western Switch release last year.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Astrea Six-Sided Oracles physical

The company will be offering a total of 3,000 standard copies. Each unit comes with the game on a cartridge, reversible cover, full-color manual, sticker, and trading cards.

Fading Afternoon Uncensored Edition

April 9: Fading Afternoon debuted digitally on Nintendo Switch last year, but physical publisher and distributor Tesura Games has now announced a new Uncensored Edition. It will be available later in 2025.

Fading Afternoon Uncensored Edition will include explicit scenes, gambling, blood, and events that were missing in the original version. The physical release also includes a comic booklet.

Stardew Valley sequel

With Stardew Valley having made its initial appearance almost a decade ago, some fans might be wondering if we could see a sequel one day. Developer ConcernedApe has now weighed in on the possibility.

ConcernedApe was asked about whether or not we could see a follow-up during the Tiger Belly Podcast. The developer is open to the idea, but at the same time, brought up how it’s much easier to add content to the existing game rather than make a whole new one. Additionally, ConcernedApe has Haunted Chocolatier on its hands as its next project, which was announced over three years ago.
