Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Friends to the End delayed slightly on Wii U

You can pick up the new Friends to the End expansion for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. Well, if you’re playing on Switch that is. The Wii U version seems to be experiencing a small delay.
WayForward says that Friends to the End for Wii U is now arriving on December 21 in North America. We’re unsure about Europe, but it’s possible that the DLC will still be launching today.

Nintendo talks scrapped hookshot from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, experimented with dual double hookshots that would let you move like Spider-Man

Earlier in the year, Nintendo revealed that the hookshot was scrapped from Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The hookshot has previously appeared in a number of Zelda games, but didn’t make it in for the Switch and Wii U title.
Nintendo spoke more about the hookshot in Zelda: Breath of the Wild and why it wasn’t a fit as part of a new interview with IGN. Series producer Eiji Aonuma started out with the following:

Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a special treat for those who clear the game’s new DLC. After completing The Champions’ Ballad, players will be rewarded with the Master Cycle Zero. Yes, Link can ride through Hyrule on a motorcycle.
At The Game Awards on Thursday night, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi spoke more about the DLC. The two developers explained how the Master Cycle Zero came to be, and also discussed the new horse gear.
My Nintendo adds Zelda: Breath of the Wild wallpaper in North America, 3DS theme in Europe

My Nintendo has updated with a couple of rewards – one for North America, and another for Europe.
Stateside, Nintendo has released a Zelda: Breath of the Wild – The Master Cycle Zero wallpaper. It costs 50 Platinum Points.
Over in Europe, you can nab a Zelda: Breath of the Wild – “A New Adventure” 3DS theme. This one costs 20 Gold Points.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild update out now (version 1.4.0) – The Champions’ Ballad live

Update: The full update notes for version 1.4.0 are as follows:
– Added support for DLC Pack 2, “The Champions’ Ballad.” Players who have pre-purchased this content can play it by updating the DLC and software.
– Made various fixes to improve gameplay.
Original: As was promised during The Game Awards, The Champions’ Ballad DLC is out now for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Before you can play it, you’ll need to download an update. Version 1.4.0 is out now.
Nintendo has yet to make the full patch notes available for tonight’s update. If we hear about anything else outside of The Champions’ Ballad, we’ll let you know.
