With each passing year, The Game Awards cements itself as one of the biggest presentations in gaming nowadays with the number of viewers growing. However, some have criticized the show for its pacing, awards, and excess of sponsors.

It’s undeniable though that a lot of memorable moments have come about during The Game Awards, and quite a few of them have been Nintendo-related. With this year’s presentation happening soon, I thought it would be nice to reflect on five great Nintendo moments at the show, which covers announcements as well as a couple of other memories. Shantae Seven Sirens Spectacular Superstar trailer

WayForward has readied a trailer to promote the new Spectacular Superstar update for Shantae and the Seven Sirens. New modes, extra story content, and optional convenience features are included.

As a reminder, here’s a rundown of the different mode in the patch:

Card Shark delayed

Card Shark, an adventure game that was first announced for Switch in August 2020, has been delayed. Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Nerial have confirmed that the project has shifted to 2022. The game was originally expected by the end of 2021.

Triangle Strategy Roland Glenbrook

Square Enix has gone live with a new trailer for Triangle Strategy that focuses on Roland Glenbrook, one of the game’s main playable characters. The video is kicking off the company’s new character and story video series.

Clockwork Aquario gameplay

Gameplay has come in for Clockwork Aquario, the previously lost arcade game that will now be appearing on Switch in December.

Ghost Sync gameplay

With Ghost Sync set to debut on Switch later this week, we have some early gameplay of the RPG. A half hour of footage is available.

Aspire Ina's Tale release date

Publisher Untold Tales and developer Wondernaut Studio have nailed down a final release date for Aspire: Ina’s Tale, an “evocative yet delicately twisted tale of one heroine escaping from a living tower that feeds on her dreams”. The game will be making its way to Switch on Friday, December 17.

Aspire: Ina’s Tale was first confirmed for Switch back in September. It was confirmed for a December launch at the time, though we didn’t have a specific date.

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain arrives on Switch later this week, and to prepare players, Nintendo has rolled out a new trailer showing off what can be expected in the game. Check it out with the video below the break.

Developer Rafael Solon and publisher Forever Entertainment released action strategy game Armed to the Gears last week. Check out some gameplay footage for the title below.
