7 more songs being taken down from the Rock Band Music Store late next month

Seven more tracks will be removed from the Rock Band Music Store on December 30. They are as follows:
• Crooked X – “Gone”
• Naked Brothers Band – “Body I Occupy”
• Naked Brothers Band – “I Don’t Want To Go To School”
• Scars on Broadway – “They Say”
• System of a Down – “B.Y.O.B.”
• System of a Down – “Toxicity”
• Tokio Hotel – “Ready, Set, Go!”
Note that the songs could be taken down a few days earlier or a few days later. Each single can be purchased for 50% off until their removal.

– The town of Seredo is located in the continent of Rendashia
– Seredo is hidden away by steep mountains
– When brave adventurers finally discover it, they find the strange oddness that is a town filled with nothing but children
– Multiple elevations in Seredo gives great views
– Players will soon come across a destroyed church
– Its windows broken into and the entire roof and building in ruins
– Unclear how the church got this way
– Talk with children to find out what happened
– Rizerotta: de facto leader of Seredo
– Rizerotta is audacious but determined
– The children of Seredo have deep trust in her
– Muchino is her mysterious familiar who follows her around as she keeps public order in the children’s city
– Muchino is summoned by magic
– Muchino can cook any sweet quickly
– Fuuro is the previous priest’s son
– He’s also a bit of a coward
– Childhood friend of Rizerotta
– Fuuro follows her faithfully, even putting himself in harms way when she thinks she’s being threatened

October 2013 NPD: rough hardware estimates

NPD never hands out hardware data these days, meaning we usually have to rely on leaks and estimates in order to find out how well systems perform each month. Thankfully, NeoGAF user “creamsugar” has come through with a decent overview of October’s sales in the US.
Here’s a general estimate provided by creamsugar’s leak:
PSV < 30k < Wii < 40k < 50k < Wii U < 60k < 100k < PS3 < 120k This figure suggests that the Wii U managed to outsell the Wii, which the console has had a tough time doing most of the year. Wii U apparently sold between 50,000 and 60,000 units while the Wii moved between 30,000 and 40,000 consoles. Source

NPD Group has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of October. The results can be found below.

3. Pokémon Y (3DS)
4. Battlefield 4 (360, PS3, PC)
5. Batman: Arkham Origins (360, PS3, Wii U, PC)
6. Assassin’s Creed IV, Black Flag (360, PS3, Wii U)

8. Skylanders: Swap Force (Wii, 360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS)
9. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, PC)

Worth noting, the 3DS came out on top as the best-selling system in the US last month.
