3DS owners who bring their system to a Nintendo Zone location can receive Katsuya Eguchi’s Mii. He’ll be available until January 9. After receiving Eguchi’s Mii, you should be able to find him wearing gold pants in the StreetPass Mii Plaza.
Thanks to Carlos D for the tip.

The Wii U eShop as well as the 3DS eShop appear to be back up and running follow Nintendo’s 12-hour maintenance period. They’re up in the US, and we’re hearing that all is well in Europe in addition. Other online features such as Miiverse are also functioning properly.
