Game Freak has revealed its second game for the 3DS eShop: Soriti Horse. It’s a mix of solitaire and horse racing.

Here’s what we know thus far:

– Solitaire Phase and Control Phase
– Solitaire Phase: play solitaire to improve the bond with your horse and make it run better
– Control Phase: navigate the courses with the touch screen, reacting to certain parameters and course attributes
– Races continue by switching between phases back and forth
– In the final stretch, you use items and power you collected along the way, plus a whip to send your horse over the finish line
– Raise your own horse, turn it in to a QR code and share it with others
– First Game Freak game to be self-published

Soriti Horse will be available in Japan on July 31 for 500 yen. You can find some screenshots in the gallery above.

We know of at least two digital releases this week, assuming listings on the Nintendo’s website are accurate.

First, the 3DS eShop will be getting Chain Blaster ($6.99). Also due out is the DSiWare title Cute Witch! Runner ($1.99 / 200 points) – this one will also be out on the DSi shop.

Both games should be available this Thursday.

Zen Studios has confirmed to Nintendo Everything that Star Wars Pinball is coming to the 3DS. The company is not in a position to reveal concrete details just yet, but promised that information will be shared “very soon”.

Star Wars Pinball’s official 3DS confirmation comes hot on the heels of a PEGI leak. We recently detected a rating for the game on the classification site, and later discovered a similar rating from the USK.

Europe has had access to the black 3DS XL for several months, but the variation never made its way to North America – until now. Reports are surfacing that a new commercial airing for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team highlights the new color. Nintendo of America hasn’t been an official announcement, though you can probably expect it within the next few days.

Nintendo stock experienced its highest level in close to two years, according to a Bloomberg report. The publication writes that Nintendo rose 4 percent to 14,050, the company’s highest figure since July 2011.

Bloomberg cited increased revenue and strong sales of 3DS games overseas – including Animal Crossing: New Leaf – as possible reasons for Nintendo’s boost. Additionally, rumors of China potentially removing its ban on consoles are said to be contributing in the rise of shares.

Ubisoft is working on a new Assassin’s Creed graphic novel titled “Assassin’s Creed: Brahman”. Fortunately, it won’t be a random, superfluous part of the series’ universe. Writer Brenden Fletcher has said that the new comic will contain “extremely strong hints” about the mainline series’ future.

Fletcher told GameSpot:

“The story that’s in the present is really significant and is filled with hints for what you’ll see in the future. I can’t say much more than that about the hints, of course, but if you’re really excited about Assassin’s Creed games and you want to know where everything’s going past Black Flag and into the future, there are extremely strong hints in Brahman.”

Assassin’s Creed: Brahman – set in Indie with the new assassin Arbaaz Mir – will be available this fall.
