Nintendo has shared an official image that provides a look at the Splatoon world map, which shows just how far away Splatsville in Splatoon 3 is compared to the settings of the previous two titles.

The image was posted today as part of an interview with the game’s developers. Series producer Hisashi Nogami, director / art director Seita Inoue, director Shintaro Sato, and head of sound Toru Minegishi participated in the discussion.

Inoue noted that “Inkopolis Plaza in the first title and Inkopolis Square in the second title are both located in the heart of the city, and they are only about as far apart as Shibuya Station and Harajuku Station on the train in Tokyo.” Splatsville, which is where Splatoon 3 takes place, is set further away to allow for some distance “with a completely different climate.”

Sato and Inoue shared:

Publisher tinyBuild and developer Neverjam have determined a final release date for SpiderHeck. The game, a non-stop co-op brawler, will be available for Switch on September 22, 2022.

We have more information about the title below:

With Splatoon 3 set for release in just a few days, reviews for the Switch exclusive are starting to come online. Nintendo lifted the embargo just a few moments ago.

Splatoon 3 builds on the shooting gameplay of its predecessors. This time around, the sun-scorched desert of Splatlands is featured. There are new moves available to dodge attacks and cover more ground, plus a new bow-shaped weapon to sling ink and new special weapons, such as the scuttling Crab Tank. Turf War, Salmon Run, and the Story Mode featuring the “Return of the Mammalians” campaign are the main modes. Splatfests are back, but now feature Tricolor Turf War – a mode where three teams compete at the same time and the first-place team must defend themselves in a unique 4-v-2-v-2 battle.

Here’s the roundup of reviews for Splatoon 3:

The NIS America Showcase 2022 is almost here, and we’ve set up a live stream for the event. Fans can tune in starting at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe.

We’ve heard that the event will include four new game announcements. On top of that, NIS America is planning updates on other titles as well as an exclusive live stream post-showcase that will take a deep dive into the showcase contents.

Publisher Armor Games Studios and developer Alblune have determined a final release date for The Spirit & The Mouse, their upcoming adventure title. Switch will be getting the game on September 26, 2022.

The Spirit & The Mouse was announced for Switch back in April. It had a general Fall 2022 release window at the time.

The King of Fighters XIV and King of Fighters XV have yet to appear on Switch, but SNK would have interest in releasing ports.

In an interview with Gamereactor, SNK’s Yasuyuki Oda indicated that the company has looked into bringing both fighting titles over to the console. However, technical limitations seem to be preventing ports from happening. Oda mentioned that SNK “would love” to put both The King of Fighters XIV and The King of Fighters XV on Switch and “are always thinking about it, but at the moment there are no plans.”

Three more Pokemon have been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet today – specifically Armarouge, Ceruledge, Klawf. Details have been shared about each one.

Armarouge can be found only in Pokemon Scarlet while Ceruledge will be available in Pokemon Violet. Klawf is not exclusive and will be included in both titles.

Armarouge is a Fire Warrior Pokemon, Ceruledge is a Fire Blades Pokemon, and Klawf is a Ambush Pokemon. Read more about them below.

A new “Seek Your Treasure!” trailer has just dropped for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Multiple story paths, new features, and new characters are shown.

Here’s the latest information that’s just been provided:

According to SNK’s Yasuyuki Oda, Terry Bogard was always planned as the company’s rep for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In other words, it was never in the cards for a character like Nakoruru to be included.

A previous leak revealed that SNK would be a featured character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, though Terry wasn’t confirmed at the time. That led some fans to originally believe that Nakoruru could have been added to the game.

Here’s a bit of an interesting tidbit: Switch is the most profitable ‘format’ for all of entertainment in the UK. That’s despite a 12.5 percent dip year-over-year.

Switch beats out DVDs, Blu-ray, and CDs, and it’s even just ahead of vinyl. The console’s boxed sales hit £88.7 million since January 1.
