Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of April 29, 2021. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

I’ve enjoyed digging into sprawling, dense RPGs ever since I was a kid, but Shin Megami Tensei has long been one of my gaming blind-spots. That’s despite me being a huge fan of the Persona series of spin-off RPGs – which are so popular in 2021 that still calling them spin-offs feels a bit reductive. So, when Atlus announced that Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne would be getting an HD remaster for Switch and other platforms, I was excited to finally experience a classic game in the franchise on a more modern, convenient platform.

It’s happening a little bit later than usual, but the annual Game Developers Choice Awards will be held on July 21. Nominees for the various categories were announced today.

Various Switch titles are represented here, including Hades – which received six nominations. Animal Crossing: New Horizons also has nominations for Game of the Year and the Best Design award.

The puzzle-platformer A Tale of Synapse: The Chaos Theories is coming to Switch, Tesura Games and Souris-Lab announced today. It will launch digitally on June 30 followed by a physical version soon after.

First 4 Figures has created a number of Zelda figures over the years, including designs for Breath of the Wild. The company is now expanding its offerings with the game’s Champions.

First up on the docket is Revali. First 4 Figures statues tend to be quite expensive, though this one can be purchased for $115.

nWay is gearing up for another physical version of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Super Edition. It includes all characters from the collector’s edition, seasons one, two, three, and seven skins, and the new Street Fighter Pack.

Following its debut in Japan last year, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster releases in the west on May 25.

Bandai Namco has announced that Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will be receiving new content this week. A free story update arrives on April 21, followed by DLC 3 on April 22.

The update will allow players to access the Hanawa MS route at no extra cost. Pepe, Xiao Junguang, and Taichi Nakanishi will be featured as part of the new DLC.
