The next Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch firmware update was just released with version 21.0.0.

Compared to some of the more recent patches, there’s quite a bit here. There are subtle additions like software symbol icons on the home menu to designate between physical and digital software. Elsewhere, we see that new Nintendo Switch to Switch 2 transfers have been given options to disable downloading software and album transfers.

Nintendo has just announced that a direct for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will premiere on November 12. The upcoming presentation is set to feature the first full trailer for the film. Note that there will be no game news here.

Lillymo Games has announced Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege, which is heading to Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch in early 2026.

Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege is a a blood-drenched homage to the 8-bit era of horror-tinged, side-scrolling action. Players will wield a spear in a Castlevania-inspired hack-and-slash adventure – either alone or with a friend via two-player co-op.

One of the big new games this week was Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, which lands at #5. Despite that, two other Nintendo Switch titles are actually ahead – Mario Kart World is #3 and Pokemon Legends: Z-A is #4.

Stormcloud Games today announced its new game Junkster, and it’s planned for Nintendo Switch 2. The studio is keeping quiet on launch timing for now.

Junkster is a 3D action platformer coming from the same developer behind Brut@l. In the game, you’ll play as a construction bot who crashes on a junkyard planet – so it’s your job to repair his ship  and recover his lost cargo of precious human artifacts.

Previously released on Nintendo Switch, Storm Lancers is now coming to Switch 2. This new version arrives on December 9, 2025.

Storm Lancers previously came to Nintendo Switch in September. For the Nintendo Switch 2 version, players can look forward to GameShare support. It’ll also include HDR and runs at 60 frames per second.

Ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025, Nintendo has come forward with its list of sales, deals, and offers.

Starting on November 23, select retailers in the United States as well as official Nintendo US stores will have physical versions of Princess Peach: Showtime, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe for $39.99 each. Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo Switch Sports, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Splatoon 3 will be down to $29.99 each.

Another Hollow Knight: Silksong update has been announced for November 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch players will be able to get their hands on it soon.

With the update, Team Cherry is implementing the latest wave of bug fixes. Also included are a film grain effect and more dithering options, along with an updated Chinese localization.
