Nintendo has passed along updated fact sheets for a trio of games featured at E3 this week: Daemon X Machina, Xenoblade 2: The Golden Country, and Super Mario Party. All three received updated information following the Nintendo Direct that took place a few days ago. For the latest details, check out the fact sheets below.
Team17 has shared some news about an update for Raging Justice on Switch. A new Stun Meter has been added, along with more control options. Various performance improvements have been implemented as well.
Raging Justice is now available through the Switch eShop.
Red Hook Studios issued a trailer for The Color of Madness, the newest DLC for Darkest Dungeon. It’ll be debuting on PC, Mac, and Linux first, followed by consoles – including Switch. We have the trailer below.
At E3 this week, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and LEGO DC Super-Villains both had panels at E3 2018 in the E3 Coliseum. Recordings for both can be found below.
8-4 has worked with Nintendo in the past on the localization of Fire Emblem games. The partnership first came about for Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, followed by Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
This week, Nintendo gave us a first look at its new Switch Fire Emblem title, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. 8-4 confirmed shortly after however that the company is not involved. That would seem to indicate that Nintendo is handling its localization internally for this particular game.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was featured at E3 this week. Folks were able to go hands-on with the Switch version, and the new Future Tense level was shown off.
One interesting point concerns loading times. After Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy originally came out on PlayStation 4, Vicarious Visions looked at the feedback, and has addressed this on Switch. Fans can expect loading time improvements across the various levels.
Just like that, another E3 is in the books. After a week of jam-packed news, trailers, and more, the expo has drawn to a close.
There was plenty to look at throughout the week, but the main event for us was on Tuesday with the Nintendo Direct. Smash Bros. Ultimate had its expected blowout, but a few other games were shown as well. Daemon X Machina and Super Mario Party were announced, Fire Emblem: Three Houses was unveiled, the new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 story content was shown, and a few leaked games were confirmed – Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Overcooked 2. There were a few other goodies spread out throughout the week including the release of the latest Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, Arcade Archives Donkey Kong, and a meaty Octopath Traveler demo.
There were some notable omissions. Yoshi for Switch wasn’t present, and has been pushed back to 2019. Metroid Prime 4 was also nowhere to be seen, though that might not be too surprising considering we only saw a logo last year. Nintendo also had nothing to say about 3DS at all – including during the Treehouse streams – so we’ll have to wait a bit longer for new looks at WarioWare Gold, Luigi’s Mansion, and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr’s Journey.
Since E3 has wrapped up, how is everyone feeling about Nintendo’s presence? Were you pleased with what was shown, or were you left wanting more? What are your thoughts on Smash Bros. Ultimate and Ridley’s inclusion? Let us know in the comments below.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is just a couple of weeks away from reaching Switch. When it does release, Prima will have an official guide ready to go.
Amazon provides the following overview of the guide:
Nintendo NY discovered a concerning email today sent to the store concerning a bomb threat. Workers came across the message, which was actually delivered in April, after cleaning out the inbox.
Twitch streamer Mitsu first reported the news, who says the threat was made due to “displeasure over the Super Smash Bros. kiosks being removed from the store.” NY Daily News also confirmed the situation with an NYPD spokeswoman.
The police are currently investigating. But NY Daily News add that “since nothing has exploded over the last two months, it’s not believed the gamer will make good on his threat, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case said.”
Some sort of countdown is currently taking place in Fortnite. It was found specifically in the Switch version, and may only be taking place in that version of the game. However, it doesn’t necessarily confirm Switch-only content is coming.
Here’s a look at the countdown in question:
