Update: Full patch notes added in below.
Original: Following a delay, Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s big update is here. Players can now access version 1.3.0.
As mentioned previously, this is a massive update that adds New Game Plus, an Easy Mode, and more. We’ll add in the full patch notes here as soon as we have them. For now, we’ve added in an overview of the update from director Tetsuya Takahashi below.
System: Switch (eShop)
Release date: March 1, 2018
Developer: Bithell Games
Publisher: Bithell Games
With the growing popularity of Switch, developers all across the industry are seeing just how big of an impact Nintendo’s newest console is having on the market. As a result, the system has received an influx of not only third-party developed games, but also a barrage of creative and imaginative indie titles. One such title, Subsurface Circular, is now making the jump to the Switch after its initial release in August 2017. Developed by Mike Bithell Games, the same developer responsible for Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular takes an interesting approach to one of the earliest video games genres ever created: the text-based adventure.

Arowana Mall will be missing in Splatoon 2 over the next couple of weeks as Nintendo addresses a notable bug. When players use a Dualie here or use the Splashdown, the game acts as if they’ve fallen out of bounds of the terrain.
Nintendo intends to address this with the next update, which is scheduled for March 16. Arowana Mall will not appear in any modes until then. For now, if you want to access the stage, you can only do so in private matches.
Splatoon 2 had two content updates tonight, adding in the brand new Goby Arena stage and Dark Tetra Dualies weapon. Footage of each can be found below.
It’s officially the start of March. In just a couple of days, the Switch will be celebrating its first anniversary.
This has important implications for My Nintendo. If you picked up a physical copy of a game during Switch’s launch like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, don’t forget to register it on the website. Per Nintendo’s guideline, Gold Points need to be claimed within one year of the game’s original release date. If you attempt to register Breath of the Wild on March 4 – a day after the initial launch – you’ll be out of luck.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Bomberman R, Skylanders: Imaginators, 1-2 Switch, and Just Dance 2017 were Switch’s launch games. We’re pointing out the obvious, but the one-year rule also applies to every Switch title going forward.
Miitomo has been updated with more content. Users will find a new stage, along with some brand new items.
“The blessings of nature! Flowering Fashion #1” is the new stage. It includes the following:
– Feel-good flower sunglasses
– Embroidered anemone jacket
– Giant floral bow
– Violet and gerbera dress
And as far as the new items go, you can nab the following:
– Fleece-lined parka
– Acid wash jeans
– Leather waist bag
Bandai Namco has gone live with the first trailer for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy on Switch. We have the video below.
Nintendo issued the latest update for Splatoon 2 last night, implementing a ton of different changes. You can read the full patch notes here.
Following up on that, another patch has been issued. Version 2.3.1 is out now. This update is much smaller in scope, as it addresses one particular issue. In Clam Blitz, bullets and clams will no longer pass through the covers at the top of the goals.
Kaet Must Die! is making its initial debut on Steam in April. After that, developer Strength in Numbers Studios will be turning its attention to consoles, including a Switch version.
Players can expect a very challenging horror game from Kaet Must Die!, as you’ll die plenty of times. The end goal is to explore hostile environments with enemies who can kill you in a single blow, solve puzzles, and more.
Here’s some additional information and a trailer for Kaet Must Die!:
