Earlier today, we learned that the New 3DS has come to an end in Japan. Nintendo is discontinuing the system, though the New 3DS XL will continue to be sold.
In a statement, Nintendo told GamesIndustry that the news has no impact on America since “the model in question was only sold in limited quantities as special offerings.”
Nintendo of America says:
“This announcement does not affect Nintendo of America territories, as the model in question was only sold in limited quantities as special offerings. There are no changes to the sales status of New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS or the upcoming New Nintendo 2DS XL, which launches on July 28.”
The New 3DS is probably done at this point. Nintendo is now focusing on the New 3DS XL, 2DS, and the 2DS XL at this point. The last hurrah for the New 3DS in the states was likely last year’s Black Friday sale.
Fatal Fury Special landed on the Switch eShop today as the newest NeoGeo game. View some footage of the download below.

Update: The “listing” itself isn’t officially ruled out as fake, but the boxart is using fan art. That does hurt the chances of this being real regardless of whether or not Fire Emblem Fates Complete Edition appeared on Amazon Spain in the first place.
Original: Amazon Spain is rumored to have listed Fire Emblem Fates Complete Edition for Switch. It allegedly appeared on the retailer’s website for a brief while, only to be pulled shortly after. The listing had a release date of November 17.
There are a few things to consider here. First, in this day and age, almost anything can be created and passed off as something looking authentic. Second, assuming the listing is real, it could have been an accidental listing on Amazon’s part. If we somehow manage to get past those two obstacles, only then would Fire Emblem Fates Complete Edition have a chance of being real.
Flip Wars is already out in Japan, and it recently came out in Europe. It’s still a little ways off in North America, but only by about a month. Nintendo has announced a stateside release for August 10.
Flip Wars is a multiplayer action game in which players flip over panels and their opponents by stomping the ground and using power-ups. We’ve attached the European launch trailer below.
