Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on Nintendo Switch for the week of January 9, 2025. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

Based on retailer listings, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 will be receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch in the near future. Maximum Entertainment will be in charge of distribution.

The game has already been out digitally on the Nintendo eShop. That took place this past November.

October 15: Shueisha Games and Hakababunko just shared the release date for Urban Myth Dissolution Center. The game is slated for February 13, 2025 on Switch.

Urban Myth Dissolution Center was previously announced last November. Originally planned for this year, it has now slipped to early 2025.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Hamster never takes a week off from adding to its Arcade Archives series, and the company has now announced Castle of Dragon as its latest release. The game launches tomorrow, January 2.

Athena originally made the game back in 1989. Here’s an official overview, courtesy of Hamster:

Of all the Wii U titles that haven’t made the jump to Nintendo Switch, Yoshi’s Woolly World is absolutely one of the most deserving.

Early on in the Switch’s life span, Nintendo filled what would have otherwise been gaps in their release schedule with plenty of Wii U ports. Between Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, and especially Mario Kart 8, many of that console’s best-received titles found new life on Nintendo Switch. Lately though, we haven’t been seeing many Wii U ports at all. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition could be counted as one, but between the graphical overhaul and added story content, one could argue that it goes beyond that.

The point is, we likely won’t be seeing many more Wii U ports on Nintendo Switch or even Switch 2. Nintendo has, for the most part, ported all of its heavy hitters. However, we’re now talking about one particular Wii U game that has sort of fallen into obscurity: Yoshi’s Woolly World.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending December 28, 2024 is now available.

If the top five looks similar, that’s because there’s been no change this time around. That means Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is again the highest charting Nintendo Switch exclusive. For all games on the platform, Hogwarts Legacy is the highest at #2.
