After originally launching for the Xbox in late 2001, EA and Pseudo Interactive’s Cel Damage came to the GameCube a few months later. Its reception was a bit mixed, but the developer hoped to create a sequel that would build on the original while taking feedback into account.

Unseen64 and Liam Robertson take a look at what Pseudo Interactive had in store for Cel Damage 2 in the video below. Ultimately, the project never picked up steam as it was unable to secure a publisher. EA, who handled the original, wasn’t interested – nor was SEGA, Ubisoft, or Midway.

SEGA / Atlus announced this past week that, going forward, Deep Silver will be publishing their games across Europe. It’ll begin with the likes of 7th Dragon III: Code VFD and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, with the relationship continuing in the future.

SEGA recently took to its official blog and commented on the situation further in a new post. Additionally, the publisher explained why it has chosen not to handle games internally through something like SEGA Europe.

Here’s the full response:

Stop me if you’ve heard this before:

“We’re working on it.”

It’s an oft-used PR phrase that people have come to see as a general throwaway response. And while I can’t speak for every case, I can at least tell you that when it comes to publishing SEGA Japanese IP games (and ATLUS’!) in Europe, it’s true. We are working on it. Or were, really, since we just inked a deal with Deep Silver to release multiple upcoming titles in Europe. Physical versions.

That means that 7th Dragon III Code: VFD will be coming to European regions as both a physical and digital title, which will be published by Deep Silver for the EU territory.

Although Famitsu’s review was published a few weeks back, we thought we’d take a new look at it now that Chase’s localization is confirmed. Editors dished out scores of “8”, “7”, “8”, and “6” for a score of 29 out of 40.

Wondering why Chase received those scores? Head past the break for the full transcript of Famitsu’s review.

Update: Here’s Yacht Club’s official video:

Strangely it’s about half as long, so we’ve kept our original recording in place.

Inti Creates and Yacht Club Games are teaming up for the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack in the west. But the two sides are working together on a second collaboration that was unveiled at BitSummit today.

During a Nindies panel at the event, a trailer was shown for amiibo support in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. The video, posted below, highlights how players can challenge Shovel Knight to a fight while controlling Copen or Gunvolt.

The Shovel Knight sprite was designed by well-known pixel artist Masaya Suzuki from Inti Creates. Suzuki has worked on classic series including Breath of Fire and Mega Man Zero.
