Nintendo and digital media university DigiPen – in conjunction with Media Development Authority – today launched the DigiPen Game Studios. This new group will be looking to discover and publish titles from Singapore.
DigiPen Game Studios will be scouting potential projects to support during a conference that will be held later in the year. Proposals that are chosen will be developed and eventually distributed for sale on the 3DS eShop, though other gaming systems could eventually follow. DigiPen International chief operating officer Jason Chu has said that the company hopes to select ten games from Singapore by next year.
Developers that are chosen for this new initiative will receive mentorship and assistance from DigiPen. Additionally, Nintendo intends to fully market the different games.

Razer is a company that makes a wide array of gaming products ranging from systems to controllers. Much of Razer’s support has been limited to the PC and Xbox consoles, though that could be extended to other platforms in the future – including Wii U.
When asked by a fan on Twitter about supporting Wii U, CEO Ming-Liang Tan said:
Well we're definitely considering those. So we're looking to double down support to sponsor more FGC tournaments https://t.co/lEgzs58eQJ

Razer’s products aren’t for everyone, but if they were to support Wii U, gamers could be interested in using them during tournaments like EVO. We’ll see what happens!

Toys “R” Us put up a message on its Twitter account today indicating that it will be selling the Dark Hammer Slam Bowser figure later in the week. Moreover, this tweet was a suggestion of the retailer being the exclusive retailer for the Skylanders/amiibo. Unfortunately, it’s created a big misunderstanding.
Dark Edition Bowser available exclusively at TRU in-store and online this week! Stay tuned!! #Skylanders https://t.co/FsMqrgLmWJ
— ToysRUs (@ToysRUs) July 20, 2015
Toys “R” Us will not be selling the standalone Dark Hammer Slam Bowser figure. Rather, pre-orders will be opening for the Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition, which will in fact be exclusive to Toys “R” Us. That makes sense given how Activision previously said that the Dark Edition figures would only be made available through Starter Packs. It’s still a stinky situation since, ultimately, the only way to obtain Dark Hammer Slam Bowser is by purchasing the Dark Edition Starter Pack for Wii at Toys “R” Us.
Update (7/20): Bumped to the top. These prices have been price-matched on Amazon. See here.
