Here’s something interesting about the Australian New 3DS. It appears that content from an original European 3DS system can be transferred over. So if you purchase a New 3DS from Australia, it essentially becomes a European New 3DS.

If you want your Australian New 3DS to function as a European system, first set your location to Australia. Connect to the eShop, exit, and then change it to the European country of your choice. That’s it!

Nintendo’s involvement with last night’s Mario-centric Dancing with the Stars performance is much more involved than originally thought. Via Twitter, the company confirmed that Koji Kondo created the Super Mario Bros. medley just for the show. You can download the song right here.

A Japanese gamer who has been playing through Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire came across an interesting message. After bringing over Kyogre from his original game on Game Boy Advance, he was presented with the certificate above.

Here’s how the translation reads:

Dear player Tetra,

We hereby praise you with this certificate, for your unbreakable friendship and tight-knit bond with Kyogre.

From all members of the Game Freak staff.

The certificate doesn’t have much of an effect in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, though it’s still thoughtful of Game Freak to consider players from the original games!
