Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo UK have announced today some new 2DS deals that might just entice some folks to pick up the 3DS’s younger sibling. First, a couple of new 2DS models have been announced that will be available on November 7th, Transparent Red and Transparent Blue which throw back to the colour scheme we first saw in the Game Boy Pocket days. For those that are happy to wait a little longer, there will be a Transparent Red and Transparent Blue Pokemon bundle, which will include Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire respectively, coming November 28th.
Some new details have emerged regarding Mario Kart 8’s first DLC pack, which is set to release in November. The pack includes 4 extra vehicles that can be used and we now know what one of those vehicles will be – Mario Kart DS’s B Dasher. Here’s the release from Miiverse:
Mario Kart DS’s popular vehicle, “B Dasher” will be available on DLC Pack 1. 4 vehicles will be included in the DLC Pack 1, and “B Dasher” will be one of them. “B Dasher” is a top speed oriented vehicle for circuit. Have fun!

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS managed to sell 944,644 copies at retail for its Japanese launch. According to sales tracker Media Create, that figured resulted in a sell-through rate of 93.45 percent.
Initial sales of Smash Bros. 3DS compare favorably to its predecessor, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. That title sold 819,6467 copies at launch with a 94.37 percent sell-through rate.
