Two new games have been confirmed for the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console. Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear) and Mega Man Xtreme (Game Boy Color) will be out on December 4. Pricing is set at 300 yen and 600 yen respectively.

Wii U eShop

Two new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Castlevania (Famicom) and Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (Famicom) will be out on December 4. Pricing is set at 500 yen each.

Atlus will be discounting the price of Shin Megami Tensei IV for just a few days. Between November 28 and December 2, you’ll be able to purchase the 3DS RPG for $29.99. The game was originally priced at $50. Note that DLC will be on sale as well, with all items being marked down under $2.

More than 100 passengers on flight 1883 from New Orleans to Dallas Love Field received Nintendo’s HD video game system after they were greeted upon arrival by Mario himself. Mario surprised the Customers with a special announcement during the flight, and Nintendo and Southwest Airlines representatives were on board to share in the fun.

As the official video game partner of Southwest Airlines, Nintendo is setting up Wii U Gaming Lounges in some of Southwest’s most heavily trafficked airports between now and Dec. 22. Passengers can pass the time before boarding by playing Super Mario 3D World and other newly released games, if their travels take them through the following airports: Dallas Love Field, Chicago (Midway), Denver, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and St. Louis. Up to four players can join the fun at each game kiosk for free.
