Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass Wave 2 graphics comparison

Nintendo is bringing back another set of tracks to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC, and GameXplain has now put together a graphics comparison video.

For those that need a refresher, the Turnip Cup has Tour New York Minute, SNES Mario Circuit 3, N64 Kalimari Desert, and DS Waluigi Pinball. The Propeller Cup features Tour Sydney Sprint, GBA Snow Land, Wii Mushroom Gorge as returning tracks. Sky-High Sundae is actually making its first debut every in the Propeller Cup, though it will appear in Mario Kart Tour later.

Thanks to GameXplain, we have a new graphics comparison video for Pac-Man World Re-Pac. The just-announced remake and the original PlayStation release have gone head to head.

Bandai Namco just announced Pac-Man World Re-Pac earlier today. Other then improved graphics, it will also offer smoother gameplay and a wider view of the action. More information can be found below.

AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative comparison

AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative has officially launched on Switch, though it’s also out elsewhere as well – and we’ve readied a new graphical comparison video. PC is the other platform we’ve decided to use here.

Thankfully, as you’ll see in the video, Spike Chunsoft seems to have done an admirable job with the Switch version. All of the assets are here without much in the way of changes. You’ll get a higher resolution and frame rate on PC, but those are the main differences.

A few more videos have come in for Sonic Origins – specifically a trailer focusing on Sonic the Hedgehog 1 plus comparisons involving graphics and music.

SEGA previously put up a video showing off the mode of Sonic Origins last week. For today’s trailer, Sonic 1 is highlighted, including what’s new this time around.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion comparison

A new video has come in for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion that serves as a graphics comparison. With it, we’re able to see just how much this version of the title compares to the original.

The video goes to show just how much effort Square Enix is putting into Reunion. The company did say that everything is now in HD – as you’d expect – and the models have been upgraded. It seems to go even beyond that, though.

Pokemon Snap for Nintendo Switch Online was shown off earlier this week, and with it Gamexplain has put together yet another video comparing the visuals of this version to those of the original N64 game. As is to be expected, Pokemon Snap now has a much higher resolution through the Nintendo Switch Online version, and it makes for a very noticeable visual upgrade.

Bandai Namco has readied its latest trailer for Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, which serves as a graphical comparison. We’re also to see how the remasters of the original games stack up to the originals.

In both cases, it’s clear that Bandai Namco made some pretty big changes. The character models were improved, colors are brighter and more saturated, and the resolution is higher.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards just debuted on Nintendo Switch Online, and we now have a look at how this version compares to the N64 original and Wii U Virtual Console release courtesy of GameXplain. Switch vs. N64 is shown first, followed by Switch vs. Wii U.

Like all Nintendo Switch Online classics, Kirby 64 now has the highest resolution possible. And while Wii U made things darker, the brightness is more true to the original on Switch.

Bugsnax Switch vs. PC comparison

We posted the first screenshots from the Switch version of Bugsnax last week, and we now have a few comparison images showing how the game stacks up to the PC version.

Overall, Young Horses seems to have done an admirable job with the game on Nintendo’s console. The visuals are overall quite similar, but the resolution has been lowered on Switch. Right now players can expect Bugsnax to run at 720p on the hybrid system at 30 frames per second.

Mario Golf debuted on Nintendo Switch Online today, and GameXplain has now put together a graphics comparison that includes Wii U and N64. We first get to see how things stack up between Switch and N64 before moving over to Switch and Wii U.

It’s clear that Mario Golf produces the clearest image on Switch. For one thing, the resolution the highest. The action was also much darker for the Wii U Virtual Console release, which has been fixed this time around.
