Rune Factory 4 might be heading to Europe after all. A rating for the game has appeared on the USK – Germany’s ratings board. XSEED and Marvelous are both listed as publishers for Rune Factory 4.

Back in January, Marvelous announced that the 3DS title would not be released in Europe. XSEED later explained that this was due to technical difficulties.

Today Sakurai gives us a look at a very retro assist trophy:

Hyrule Warriors’ first batch of downloadable content hit Japan this week. The DLC offers new items like an extra scenario and an Epona weapon, plus new costumes.

What Koei Tecmo has cooked up for new costumes is actually quite interesting. It seems that the DLC includes a pair of outfits based on characters from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Darunia has received a costume that resembles Darmani’s Ghost from the N64 title, and Ruto can now wear an outfit resembling Lulu from the band The Indigo-Go’s.

That’s not all for costumes. There’s “gothic” Agitha, maskless Zant, and purple Link. And did we mention that Zelda can wear an outfit that resembles Hilda from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds?

Nintendo Life has published a new interview with Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai. Topics include third-party characters, the roster in general, the meticulous process of creating the different characters, and how much fans influence decisions.

Head past the break for some interview excerpts. The full interview can be found here.

M2’s Tokihiro Naito was one of the creator’s of the action RPG Hydlide. While the series has been dormant for quite some time, Naito now wants to revisit the genre by making a brand new title for 3DS. If one of his tweets receives 3,000 Japanese re-tweets (overseas tweets won’t count) within a week, he will make a proposal to his boss.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS marks the first time in which there are no character transformations. Zelda, for instance, transformed into Sheik in previous games.

In his latest Famitsu column, Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai explains that the change came about due to limitations with the 3DS hardware.

He said:

“It’s basically due to the 3DS’ limitations. It was impossible to have both characters exist together [as one] on 3DS.”

“However, reaching that limit can sometimes lead in good directions. Transforming characters had the drawback of ambiguous tactics and such, and I believe that they have become more fresh now.”
