The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Sonic Colors: Ultimate

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is more than just a port of the Wii game. Aside from upgraded visuals, the developers are included new features as well.

We previously heard about elements like the new Rival Rush mode. This week’s Famitsu also goes over a new gameplay system: “Tails Save” (official English name TBA).

Devolver Digital

Devolver Digital will host its annual E3 press conference on June 12, the company announced today. Specific timing and other details have yet to be shared.

Devolver Digital events have been a staple of E3 since 2017. While the company always has news to share, they often incorporate satire and feature a running storyline (led by Nina Struthers, who is played by Mahria Zook – shown below).

Nintendo has finally announced its plans for E3 2021.

As many have speculated, the company’s activities will take place on the final day of the show, June 15. A 40-minute Nintendo Direct will air at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM in the UK / 6 PM in Europe, featuring Switch titles “mainly releasing in 2021.” Nintendo Treehouse: Live will take place directly after “for around three hours of deep dives on gameplay”.

You may recall that, back in 2019, Nintendo filed a lawsuit against ROM website RomUniverse. The case has now concluded with a judge ruling in the company’s favor.

Nintendo said that the situation involving RomUniverse was “a straightforward video game piracy case”. The company explained that for over a decade, the site was “populated the website with pirated copies of thousands of different Nintendo games and distributed hundreds of thousands of copies of those pirated games.” RomUniverse also sold paid premium accounts, allowing users to download an unlimited amount of titles.

Tank Troopers

Just a short while before the Switch launched, Nintendo put out a little title on the 3DS eShop titled Tank Troopers. Vitei, the studio behind the Steel Diver games, led development.

Vitei founder Giles Goddard revealed in an interview with MinnMax that the studio actually had a Switch version ready to go. However, Nintendo ultimately passed on it. Nintendo also removed a multiplayer mode from the 3DS game prior to release “for some unknown reason.”
