In the past, Nintendo’s mobile efforts have primarily been conducted with DeNA. But now the company is getting involved with another company: Cygames.

Nintendo and Cygames are partnering on the brand new mobile game Dragalia Lost. It’s due out this summer, starting with Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. There are also plans to launch in North America and Europe.

Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnite on Switch is a rumor that always seems to pop up, but especially more so this week. That’s because LeakyPandy, who leaked some information about the most recent Nintendo Direct but was also off base with many claims regarding the presentation, posted new speculation on Twitter that’s making the rounds.

LeakyPandy claims that the PvP Battle Royale game and the PvE Save the World mode will be coming to Switch, with an announcement at E3. Further stated is that cross-play will be supported and Nintendo exclusive content is planned.

Another interesting Nintendo patent surfaced this week. On Wednesday, the company filed an application for a “non-limiting example game apparatus” involving a “card display screen including an image of a card object” displayed on the apparatus’ screen.

What the patent boils down to is a digital card format, perhaps for something Pokemon-related. Here’s one excerpt from the application:

A brand new mode has been added to Attack on Titan 2. Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are introducing Expulsion Mode, which boils down to free-for-all.

Here’s an overview:

Shuntaro Furukawa is taking over for Tatsumi Kimishima as global president of Nintendo in June. At a news conference, Kimishima spoke more about stepping down as well as having Furukawa assuming his previous role.

Kimishima said he made his decision since he “fulfilled almost fully his responsibilities” to turn around Nintendo. He also noted that it was becoming difficult for him to fly around due to his age, and the better-than-expected sales momentum of the Switch sparked the idea to bring in someone else for the president’s position.
