Physical version of Runner3 announced

Runner3 will be on Switch towards the start of 2018. When it does release, it won’t just be an eShop title. Nicalis announced a partnership with Choice Provisions today that will bring fans a physical version.
You’ll be able to find Runner3 on store shelves in Q1 2018. The physical version will be priced at $39.99. Given Nicalis’ past, it’ll probably come with some goodies other than just the game on a cartridge.

Rocket League Collector’s Edition for Switch launches in January

Psyonix has announced a release date for the physical version of Rocket League on Switch. Known as the Rocket League Collector’s Edition, it’s due out on the following dates:
– January 16 for North America
– January 24 for Australia and New Zealand
– January 25 for Central Europe
– January 26 for remaining Europe, Israel, Middle East, Russia, and South Africa (players in Europe should contact their local retailer for availability details)

Build-A-Bear announces partnership with Nintendo for Super Mario products

Build-A-Bear has announced a new partnership with Nintendo for a slew of Mario products. Three new Make-Your-Own Super Mario plushies are joining the store, in addition to a pre-stuffed Toad, sound chips, and accessories.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut announced for Switch

inXile Entertainment CEO Brian Fargo has revealed that Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is coming to Switch.

Wasteland 2 originally released in 2014 to a positive reception. It’s a turn-based and RPG with a mix of with tactical combat. For the late 2015’s release of Director’s Cut, inXile overhauled the visuals, added special personality traits and precision strikes, and recorded a ton of new voice-over.

Payday 2 launches for Switch on February 27 in North America, February 23 in Europe

Starbreeze Studios and Overkill have announced a release date for Payday 2 on Switch. The cooperative first-person shooter launches in February 27 in North (and South) America. The European release will take place a bit early on February 23.
Payday 2 will be sold both physically and digitally for Switch. 505 will handle the retail release.

Reggie: Zelda, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Odyssey bought by over 50% of Switch owners; Splatoon 2 one in four Switch owners

Nintendo of America president has shared more about the Switch’s success in an interview with Variety.
First, Reggie revealed that three games have been bought by more than 50% of Switch owners. Those games are Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey. Splatoon 2, meanwhile, has been purchased by one in four Switch owners.

Nintendo intends to ship more Switch units in Japan than ever before this month

Finding the Switch in Japan still isn’t an easy process. Locating the system on store shelves isn’t really possible.
This month, Nintendo is hoping to further improve the situation. The company said today that it intends “to ship more units than ever before so that even more consumers can purchase and enjoy Nintendo Switch.”
We’ll have fresh Media Create data for the week of December 4 tomorrow. That’ll give us the latest look at how many Switch units have been sold in Japan.

Capcom is slowly starting to put more games on Switch. Mega Man 11 was announced, along with Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 plus all of the Mega Man X titles. We also just found out yesterday that Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection drops in May.
As for what’s next for Switch, Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto shared another tease in an interview with Nikkei. Tsujimoto mentioned that the home / portable console concept works better than expected and the company is interested in porting games that weren’t available on Nintendo consoles previously.
Tsujimoto also recently teased that Ace Attorney on Switch. He did not share the specifics of what’s planned, however.

Capcom has announced Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, and it’s coming to Switch.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary is an anthology of 12 iconic titles, including the original Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III, Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike.
