The official Japanese Splatoon Twitter account has reached an important milestone: 1 million followers on Twitter. To celebrate, they sent out the special piece of artwork you see above.

It’s not exactly breaking news that Splatoon is popular in Japan, but this is another example of it. Especially if you consider that the official Japanese Nintendo Twitter account “only” has 968,000 followers.

Fire Emblem Heroes’ next major update, which will be released sometime in April, will add a couple of new weapon skills and weapons that can be refined in the Weapon Refinery.

The following completely new weapon skills will be added:

Level-5 has been one of steadiest third-party supporters of Nintendo in the last couple of years, releasing quite a few titles on the 3DS – and that support is now going to continue on the Switch. Speaking to Nikkei (thanks to Gematsu for the translation), Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino stated the following:

“Basically, in the future our main titles will all be released on Nintendo Switch. The idea is that what we have created for 3DS will move over to Switch.”

Little Dragons Café, the new Switch game from Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada, is coming to Europe. Rising Star Games announced today that they will be publishing the game, which has a targeted release window of “Summer”. The game was previously announced for a North American release, where Aksys Games is handling publishing duty.

The next new weapon coming to Splatoon 2 is the Sorella Brella. It’s identical to the Splat Brella in terms of stats, but comes with the Autobomb sub-weapon and the Splat Bomb Launcher special instead. It’ll be available on Saturday around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and Friday night in North America.

Just one day before launch, NIS America has cancelled the release of the standard edition of Penny-Punching Princess in the UK. The publisher says that they discovered that “the orders for this title would not be able to be fulfilled by their proper release date” and thus they decided to cancel the game’s physical release in the UK entirely.

If you live in the UK, your only option for a physical copy of the game is the Limited Edition, which is available exclusively on the NIS America online store. Otherwise, you will have to buy the game digitally. Note that all of this only applies to the UK – the physical release of the game in other regions has not been affected.

Fire Emblem Heroes

A set of new quests are now available in Fire Emblem Heroes. As their name implies, the Earth Blessing quests require you to use units that have the Earth Blessing conferred on them. The quest objectives are defeating foes of a variety of levels and colors as well as clearing specific stratums of the Training Tower. The rewards for clearing the quests are orbs, feathers and stamina potions. The quests will be available for two weeks.

A new update for Snake Pass on Switch is now available. It changes the game’s icon back to the original icon, which has been the topic of much discussion in the Switch community. The update also adds a new Arcade Mode.

The official Fire Emblem Warriors Twitter account has posted screenshots of the three new History Mode maps that will be part of the upcoming Fire Emblem Awakening DLC pack. The three new playable characters that are added with this DLC are Owain, Tharja and Olivia, and their corresponding History Mode maps are based on the chapters in which they are recruited in Fire Emblem Awakening.
