After shutting down nearly a year ago, Telltale Games is returning. LCG Entertainment announced today that it “has purchased the defunct studio’s key assets, trademarks, technology, and select intellectual properties with the intent of re-releasing select games from the studio’s back catalog and developing new games in some of the company’s best-selling brands.” LCG will represent itself as the original Telltale Games name.
Today’s press release mentions that “key talent” from the original Telltale has been “hired or contracted”. A focus on both core IPs and new IPs is planned going forward.
