Nintendo and LeSportsac announced a new travel collection last month. In an update added to Nintendo’s Japanese blog, some additional items are shown off that we hadn’t seen previously.

To begin, here’s the “Power Up Burst” lineup:

Koei Tecmo sent out a bunch of new information about Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon today. We have details about the main cast, pre-order bonuses, and a new trailer.

Below are the full character details:

Yesterday, a listing for Infinite Minigolf appeared on the European Switch eShop with a release date of July 24. It seems to have been off, though only slightly.

Zen Studios has now announced that Infinite Minigolf officially launches on July 25. Better yet, cross-platform user created course sharing is confirmed. If a course is created and shared via Steam, the same course can be shared with players on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One (and vise versa).

Today, GamesIndustry published a new interview with a couple of people involved with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Director Davide Soliani and composer Grant Kirkhope participated in the discussion.

During the interview, Kirkhope talked about first finding out about the game, also shared an… interesting story about an encounter with Shigeru Miyamoto from his time at Rare. Soliani also talked about being starstruck with Kirkhpoe, worries stemming from the initial leaks, and the game’s inspirations.

You can find that and a bit more below. You can read up on GamesIndustry’s full piece here for additional comments.

A little while back, the Japanese Super Mario Odyssey Twitter account provided an official introduction for the bird that appears in Luncheon Kingdom. We now have the English equivalent from the UK Twitter page.

That bird, pictured above, is officially going by the name “Cookatiel” in English. Here’s the brief message that was posted by Nintendo UK:

Infinite Minigolf was originally planned for spring. We’re passed that point, but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer for Zen Studios’ first Switch game.

According to a European eShop listing, Infinite Minigolf is scheduled for July 24. We would anticipate it launching around the same time in North America, assuming the eShop page is accurate.

Here’s a look at the Infinite Minigolf trailer from May:

Miiverse

Miiverse launched with Wii U back in 2012. It expanded to 3DS in later years, but the service as a whole could be coming to an end soon.

As we reported earlier, Nintendo pushed out a new update for Wii U tonight. We don’t really have any specifics, though dataminers appear to have made an interesting discovery.

This text was apparently changed with version 5.5.2:

“The Miiverse service has ended. Miiverse and any software features that make use of Miiverse are now unavailable.”

Miiverse isn’t a part of Switch at all, so it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see the service end at some point soon. Some community members likely wouldn’t be too happy though.

Qbics Paint, first made known at the end of May, could have a release date. Nintendo’s website lists the game for July 27 on the Switch eShop. It will cost $4.99.

Note that this date is not 100% final. Abylight may make the release date official within the next week or so.

In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know about Qbics Paint:

Nintendo’s older console just received a new update. All system owners can download version 5.5.2.

The update notes haven’t been exciting for Wii U in awhile, and nothing really changed this time either. Nintendo simply states, “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”. The update may address certain exploits within the hardware.

Note that you’ll need today’s update in order to access the eShop.

You’ll have three different ways of purchasing a Switch unit in the United States this week. Along with GameStop and Best Buy, Target should be restocking the console. That’s based on the store’s new ad put out yesterday.

Target indicates that Switch will be in stock on Friday. Note that quantities will be limited, and colors will vary by store.
