This week is turning out to be very packed for Switch eShop games. And it looks like we can add another title dropping on Thursday, in Europe at least. The Switch eShop is listing Butcher from Crunching Koalas on September 28.

We first found out about Butcher when Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition’s eShop listing appeared. Crunching Koalas published that one as well. As for Butcher, it’s a “fast-paced 2D shooter and a blood-soaked love letter to the cult classics of the genre.”

Here’s a trailer for Butcher:

HORI made it known that a Fighting Commander controller would be released with the Super Famicom a few weeks ago. That same controller has been confirmed in North America.

Amazon’s listing shows the the SNES Classic Edition Fighting Commander wireless controller is arriving later this week. It has turbo functions for each button as well as a slow-motion function, plus a six-button layout.

Amazon seemed to open pre-orders early today for a very brief period, but sold out. GameStop does have it here and will apparently begin shipping immediately.

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced a partnership with Post cereals. Marked packages are offering consumers a chance to win one of 500 Switch Prize Packs, featuring a Switch system and Super Mario Odyssey.

20 million Post Consumer Brand cereal boxes come with codes. These include Honey Bunches of Oats, Grape Nuts, Honeycomb, Golden Crisp and Alpha-Bits, as well as in Malt-O-Meal cereals such as Honey Graham Toasters, Coco Roos and Marshmallow Mateys.

Even if you don’t win one of the packs, there’s still something in it for you. Coes can be used to earn Platinum Points. We knew this previously, but reader Ben tells us that it’s 50 Platinum Points specifically.

Golf Story was initially listed for September 28 on the European eShop today. Thankfully that date is confirmed, and it applies to both North America and Europe.

Nintendo of America passed along the news:

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Bethesda published a new “Give Up and Die, or Step Up” teaser video for Wolfenstein II today. It offers a look at one of the game’s intense cut-scenes. View the video below, and stay tuned for new gameplay tomorrow.

Gematsu spoke with Inti Creates’ Takuya Aizu and Matt Papa about the newly-announced Gal*Gun 2. Highlights include the confirmation of gyro sensor support, news that the game won’t be censored at all, and the decision to release it for Switch.

We’ve included these excerpts below. For the full interview, head on over here.

The Super NES Classic Edition has a couple of hidden features worth knowing about. One lets you access the home menu whereas the other lets you reset the game you’re playing.

If you have a Wii Classic Controller, you can plug that right into the SNES Classic Edition. Then you only need to press the relevant button to return to the home menu.

As for one thing that doesn’t require any separate controllers, you can reset any of the games included on the SNES Classic Edition. Just hold the “L”, “R”, “select”, and “start” buttons for a second or two. That will easily let you reset the game.

It would be tough to deny that WWE 2K18 has an expansive roster. Two more wrestlers are joining the mix, though only as DLC.

The Hardy Boyz are confirmed to be joining WWE 2K18. Both will be available by purchasing the Deluxe Edition, Season Pass, or their individual pack. The first two items should be distributed on Switch.

Nintendo has been publishing weekly interviews about games included in the Super NES Classic Edition in preparation of the hardware’s launch later this week. For the latest discussion, Super Mario Kart is the focus. Tadashi Sugiyama and Hideki Konno were brought in to talk about the SNES game.

Sugiyama and Konno talked about Super Mario Kart’s origins, including how Shigeru Miyamoto’s request to create a 2-player F-Zero led to the start of the project. They also explained how Mario Kart characters ended up being inserted, the various items, and more.

You can read the full interview with Sugiyama and Konno below.

The NES Classic Edition and Super NES Classic Edition are two different pieces of hardware, but they aren’t entirely separate. You might be interested to hear that both controllers can be used with either system. That means the SNES Classic controller works with the NES Classic (and vice versa).

One thing to keep in mind is that the NES controller lacks a number of buttons necessary for SNES games. You shouldn’t have any problems using the SNES controller with the NES Classic Edition, however.
