Last month, the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition was announced. Nintendo is bringing back its retro system as a mini device in November. 30 NES games are pre-installed, including Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and many more.

Following the announcement, a French-language radio show hosted an interview with Julie Gagnon. Gagnon is the communications manager at Nintendo of Canada.

Gagnon talked about a few different topics such as who the company is targeting with the NES Classic Edition. Additionally, she appears to have revealed some different display modes, such as pixel perfect.

Head past the break for a translation of the more interesting comments from Gagnon. Huge thanks goes out LuigiBlood for helping us out with this.

Disney Infinity 3.0 came to a premature end in May. With the game meeting such a sudden halt, much content was scrapped despite being well in development. We’ve already heard about the Dr. Strange figure that never made it to market, but that wasn’t the only new toy in the pipeline.

Infiniteer Adventures recently spotted concept art for various figures that never made it to market, some of which were further along than others. Among these include:

– Peter Pan
– Spider-Gwen
– Goofy
– Jafar
– Hera
– Avatar
– Lightning McQueen Premium Figure
– Buzz Lightyear Premium Figure
– Elsa Premium Figure
– Darth Vader Premium Figure
– Hulkbuster Premium Figure
– Jack Skellington Premium Figure

Composer and sound designer Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka has worked on a number of Nintendo releases over the years – especially during the early days of gaming. One of his more well-known projects is Metroid, which just happened to have celebrated its 30th anniversary. In honor of the big event, Tanaka shared a special message attached below:

Aside from the message, Tanaka also put together a collage using sounds from the original NES game. That can be heard below.

Update (8/6): Z-Crystal 9 Pack now up for pre-order on Amazon here.

Update (8/4): Was out of stock for a bit on Amazon, but it’s back now. GameStop is also taking pre-orders for the “Z-Ring Crystals 3 Pack”.

Original (8/3): A whole bunch of Pokemon Sun/Moon information was unleashed earlier in the week. The latest update included details on new Pokemon, the island challenge, and Z-Moves.

Z-Moves are powerful attacks that can be executed once per battle when a Trainer and Pokemon’s wishes resonate with each other. They can be performed with the Z-Ring fitted on a Trainer’s arm, with Z-Crystals set into it. If a Pokemon holds the same type of Z-Crystal, the two will be able to resonate with one another.

The Pokemon Company is teaming up with Tomy to bring out a real-life version of the Z-Ring and Z-Crystals later this year. When a player using the Z-Move, the Z-Ring lights up, vibrates, and emits sounds to go along with what’s happening in-game.

Pre-orders for the Z-Ring (Set) are starting to live. It includes the Z-Ring, three Z-Crystals, and a 2-inch Pikachu figure. For those in the United States, you can place an order on Amazon here or GameStop here. In Europe, pre-orders are live on Amazon Germany here. We’ll keep you informed about other pre-order news.

Here are some new images and details from the Amazon product page:

GameStop has the Yoshi’s Woolly World amiibo bundle on sale. For $40, you’ll receive a copy of the game plus a green Yarn Yoshi. That’s $20 off the original asking price. Place an order here if interested.
