Nintendo has posted the European Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon boxart, which you can see above. As expected, it’s extremely similar to the North American and Japanese design.

With Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam quickly approaching its European launch, Nintendo is now sending out a new puzzle to 3DS owners. The first piece should arrive via SpotPass so long as you have Internet functionality enabled. We’ll hopefully see the puzzle in North America closer to launch here.

Cube Life: Island Survival version 1.1 is something that Cypronia has been working on for awhile. It was originally targeted for September / October, but that time frame wasn’t reached. Instead, Cypronia now intends to have the patch ready for December having submitted it to Nintendo.

Here’s the latest message from the developer:

Hello Cube Life friends!

We apologize for all the delays on Cube Life update. Development of an open-world, sandbox game with more than 300 items and tools to craft, including many elaborate maps, and perfect multiplayer gaming with several controllers support is difficult. As we promised, we even have Wii Classic Controller Pro support in there, too!

Believe us, it is not easy… Creating an update of this magnitude is very challenging. Testing alone is a very daunting task–we do not want to release an incomplete product. As you can see, there were some attempts by others to do something similar… UCraft has been delayed for years, and Minecraft for the Wii U seems to be a false rumor.

But we at Cypronia are still alive and hardworking. We thank everyone who is still with us… Your patience is going to pay off. We have included some great new features in Update v1.1: Create and play custom maps for Deathmatch Mode in Multiplayer! We simply cannot wait for you to get your hands on this update–we know it will be worth the wait.

The update for the North American and EU versions have been sent to Nintendo Lotcheck and we are patiently awaiting their approval. We will keep you posted with the release date as soon as we know it. It’s coming VERY soon… Get excited!

Koei Tecmo prepared another batch of screenshots from Hyrule Warriors Legends. A few of the images were posted yesterday, but we now have them in higher resolution. We also have screenshots showing the new characters in the Wii U version.

EA dropped its support for Wii U long ago. The publisher’s last game was Need for Speed: Most Wanted U, a title that shipped in March 2013.

EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen explained why the company is no longer creating games for Wii U during the UBS Global Technology Conference. At the end of the day, “the market is too small,” he said. This applies to Wii as well, though the limelight on that console faded long ago and support for it was expected to end with the introduction of Wii U a few years ago.

Below are Jorgensen’s comments in full:

“We don’t make games anymore for the Wii or the Wii U because the market is not big enough, the PS Vita – the Sony product – we don’t make games for that anymore because the market is too small, so it’s all about the size of the market. As one of the largest software producers we have all of the manufacturers of equipment coming to us to try to sell us on their equipment and giving us development kits to try to build software for it. So we’ll build software for various ones but we’ll really wait and see how big the market is going to be.”

While EA has moved on from Wii U, perhaps it could support NX in the future. CEO Andrew Wilson stated a couple of weeks ago that the company will “evaluate any and all opportunities” concerning Nintendo.
