Yooka-Laylee reaches latest two stretch goals on Kickstarter
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 6 Comments
Yooka-Laylee’s Kickstarter hasn’t slowed down since launching on Friday. The campaign has smashed through another two stretch goals within the past day or so. Playtonic will now create a N64 shader mode, a credits “GK Rap + Video” written by Grant Kirkhope, and a developer walkthrough/commentary video.
Yooka-Laylee is closing it at nearly $1.9 million on Kickstarter. 44 days remain before the Kickstarter campaign ends, so there’s plenty of time for additional stretch goals. The latest one, coming in at £1.5 million, will allow for an orchestral score.
Head on over to this page for the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter.

Warren Spector on Epic Mickey – dark concept art, couldn’t show Mickey’s teeth, wanted a movie
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 6 Comments
Epic Mickey director Warren Spector held a Reddit AMA a few days back. Spector shared plenty of insight about the original game and its sequel, and tackled some very interesting questions. He was asked about topics like Epic Mickey’s dark concept art that never seemed to be realized, how he tried pitching a film based on the series to Disney, and the one thing about Mickey he couldn’t show.
You can find a full roundup of Spector’s comments below. They’re certainly worth checking out!

Rumor: Atlus PR manager says Legend of Legacy is heading overseas
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 7 Comments
The Legend of Legacy appears to be coming west. During the latest Shin Megami Tensei Network podcast, Atlus PR manager John Hardin apparently let it slip that the RPG is being localized.
Hardin said:
We did announce The Legend of Legacy is coming over here, and we have another one in the can too that I can’t talk about just yet. But another really niche Japanese game that actually isn’t out yet, we’re bringing that over for the 3DS later this year. What could it be?
Regarding the other mystery 3DS title, it’s possible that Hardin may have been referring to Stella Glow. Some people are speculating that he may have forgotten which of those two 3DS games Atlus had already announced. Stella Glow was confirmed for the west just over a month ago, while The Legend of Legacy still hasn’t been officially announced for North America and Europe. That could be changing soon.

Rumor: Japan’s Villager amiibo reprint comes with minor changes
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 12 Comments
Nintendo has started reprinting the Villager amiibo in Japan. I’m marking this as a rumor to be safe, but it’s looking like a few, small changes were made to the figure.
As pointed out by My Amiibo News:
The original Villager’s eyes appear more elongated and are placed evenly between the hairline and the nose. The reprint shows changes in the eye shape and placement. Its eyes look somewhat rounder and are placed lower on the face, hugging the nose a lot more.
How do you guys feel about the changes? Which version do you prefer?
