If you head on over to your local Best Buy, you may spot a demo for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It comes with three levels – two standard courses, and a third one featuring the dragon boss previously shown in trailers. Note that we can’t say for sure how many Best Buy locations currently have the Captain Toad demo.

Thus far, Nintendo has only shown figurines in relation to amiibo. But the company apparently has other plans for the brand with additional products.
During the Q&A for Nintendo’s financial results briefing last week, there was talk about the different amiibo projects the company is working on for 2015 and the advantage of allowing them to be used in multiple games as well as the speediness of their read/write speeds.

More Nintendo shop maintenance taking place on Monday

Nintendo’s four major digital shops will be undergoing maintenance on Monday. That includes the Wii U and 3DS eShops, the Wii Shop Channel, and DSi Shop.
Maintenance will begin at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET. Expect it to last until 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
