– Once again, takes place in the near future where wielders of the psychic power “Seventh” have emerged
– Was first thought that these individuals would bring chaos to the world
– The Sumeragi Group has brought peace and order to the world.
– And this peace from Sumeragi came from the sacrifice of the psychics, a forced detention called “Psychic Protection,” where inhumane experiments were performed for the sake of “research”
– All of the Sumeragi group’s actions were odne in confinement, but it didn’t take long for a certain organization to uncover the truth and begin their resistance against the conglomerate
– “Feather” is this group, a private militia
– This anti-Sumeragi resistance group was made from a human rights group consisting of foreign psychics
– Gunvolt is one of the psychics of Feahter
– Story begins when Gunvolt refuses his order to eradicate the virtual idol “Cyber Diva Morpho,” created by Sumeragi

– Real name is kept to himself
– He was originally a “Seventh” psychic in the private militia Feathers, but left the group for certain reasons
– Has a calm and mature personality
– Doesn’t like anything that isn’t fair
– Displays his youth and fortitude when it comes to combating the unfair

Sian

– 13-year-old heroine
– Seventh psychic
– Product of the Sumeragi Group’s experiments
– Has “Cyber Diva” as her Seventh ability
– This uses songs, which resonates with other psychics by powering them up
– Confined as an experiment by the Sumeragi Group
– Rescued by Gunvolt, whom she has been living with since
– Pure and quiet personality
– Shows a different side of herself when she’s with Gunvolt

Morpho

– One of the “virtual idols” produced by the Sumeragi Group
– She is the embodiment of Sian’s Seventh, called Cyber Diva

– Strong-wileld and happy-go-lucky
– Her personality actually reflects Sian’s true feelings

Insanity’s Blade is currently in the works for Wii U. Casual Bit Games may end up bringing it to the 3DS eShop as well, though that would happen further down the line.

Causal Bit founders/directors Chris Obritsch and Daven Bigelow told Nintendo Life:

Chris Obritsch: I’d love to say yes, but this is a very up in the air. It will have to be developed separately from what we’ve done so far. We’ll see further down the road if this is an option.

Daven Bigelow: I sure hope we can get on 3DS, that would be awesome.

Going back to the topic of Wii U, Casual Bit Games has another title planned for the console. Obritsch said the following when asked about future support:

Yes we do — Insanity’s Blade has a long storyline. We will probably split it up into three games. We’ll see. The other game we have in the works is being developed with the Wii U in mind so we are looking forward to showing that one to the public a little more after we have it cleaned up. Right now the alpha version is on the back burner until Insanity’s Blade is completed — since there are only two of us working on the code and GFX!
