Nintendo Direct September 2022 pre-order

A number of games were shown off during today’s September 2022 Nintendo Direct, and retailers are starting to hold pre-orders. Along with titles that we’ve heard about previously, the presentation also had some new announcements.

We’ll be updating this post with relevant links to reservations as store listings go live. Everything will also be included in our weekly pre-order roundup on Sunday.

Let's Build a Zoo release date

Let’s Build a Zoo, the zoo management sim from Springloaded and No More Robots, received a final release date today. The title will be ready to go digitally for Switch on September 29, 2022 with the physical version arriving one day later.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection online

Capcom provided an update on Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection at the Tokyo Game Show today, and the big news shared is that online functions are planned. In addition to online battles, it will be possible to trade Chips with others.

Another element was also introduced. In the collection, a 3D MegaMan.EXE will guide you through the game selection screen and gallery, complete with voiced reactions.

NieR: Automata Amusement Park

NieR: Automata has received its second world trailer for the Switch version that introduces the Amusement Park. Although the area once brought happiness and joy to mankind, it’s now occupied by harmless machine lifeforms. Square Enix mentions how they’re found dancing and throwing confetti in their carnival attire.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Title Update 2

At the 2022 Tokyo Game Show today, Capcom announced a release date for the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak free Title Update 2. All players can access it starting on September 29, 2022.

The update includes Flaming Espinas, Violet Mizutsune, Risen Chameleos, Layered Weapons, level 120 investigations, and Qurious crafting options.

Formula Retro Racing World Tour

Repixel8 and CGA Studio Games today announced Formula Retro Racing: World Tour, an arcade racer for Switch. The title will be out on December 14, 2022.

NeverAwake release date physical

NeverAwake, a nightmarish twin-stick shoot ’em up, now has a release date and news about a physical release. Publisher Phoenixx and Neotro Inc. announced at the Tokyo Game Show today that the game will be out on January 19, 2023.

Saturnalia

Today, Santa Ragione announced that its survival horror adventure Saturnalia will soon be making its debut on Switch. A release is planned for October 27, 2022.

Saturnalia is inspired by authentic Sardinian folklore and classic Italian giallo horror films. The story revolves around a mysterious, centuries-old ritual that occurs every year on the night of the winter solstice in the Italian village of Gravoi. Four playable characters are included, and each one “must utilize their unique abilities and confront their own personal revelations in order to expose the secrets haunting the town and ultimately escape their doom.”

Gas Station Simulator

MD Games and Drago Entertainment are putting Gas Station Simulator on Switch next month, the two sides have announced. Nintendo’s console is getting the title on October 20, 2022.

The game previously appeared on PC to a strong player reception. In it, you’ll renovate, expand, and run a gas station along the highway in the middle of the desert. The title provides freedom of choice and multiple approaches to running the business.
