It looks like The Pokemon Company is going big for its musical features to celebrate its 25th anniversary. They have released a song called Electric by Katy Perry that is apparently a part of an album they are creating called Pokemon 25: The Album. This song also comes with a music video that features Katy Perry and Pikachu exploring an island and signing in a lighthouse.

Check out the full song below in the official music video, and it can be streamed on all music platforms now.

Two more rewards are now available on My Nintendo in North America. In addition to a Platinum Point and Gold Point Coins Pin Set, the site has added the New Pokemon Snap Clear Zipper Case Set.

When Nintendo held its financial call last week, one investor asked about the company’s rising costs when it comes to research and development. The Big N is expecting these expenses to be at nearly 100 billion yen for the fiscal year.

President Shuntaro Furukawa offered up some insight. He pointed to a few factors, such as development costs (which are higher compared to past platforms) to produce a steady stream of games for Switch, development of next generation hardware, plans to grow its integrated hardware-software entertainment business, and more.

Guerilla Collective 2021

Media Indie Exchange has just announced that the Guerilla Collective Showcase is returning for a second consecutive year. The event will take place across the first two Saturdays in June.

Guerilla Collective is promising “wide-ranging game, footage, guest and news-filled showcases.” There will be over 80 titles from 505 Games, Innersloth, Thunderful, and more.

The last SteamWorld game, SteamWorld Quest, launched just over two years ago. Image & Form has been keeping quiet about the series since, but that doesn’t mean there’s more to come – quite far from it actually.

Over on Twitter, Image & Form confirmed that “several new SteamWorld games are in the making”. The company wrote:

Limited Run Games will hold its annual #LRG3 event next month. The presentation will take place on June 14, the company announced today.

It will air at the following times:

First 4 Figures has revealed more statues, this time based on Banjo-Kazooie. There’s one planned for Mumbo Jumbo and another for the crocodile transformation.

EA Play Live 2021

A new EA Play Live event will air on July 22, EA has announced. Last year’s presentation was held in June, and today’s news confirms that the upcoming broadcast will take place after E3.

In 2020, EA did actually have a decent amount of Switch news. Apex Legends was announced for the platform, we heard about Lost in Random for the first time, and more.

We’ll let you know about any significant Nintendo-related news that emerges from EA Play Live 2021.

Build-A-Bear seems to be expanding its plans for Animal Crossing: New Horizons plushies pretty quickly. After Tom Nook and Isbelle initially went up last month, both can now be found in winter versions. You can see their designs above.

Also worth noting is that the original summer versions have been restocked as well.
