Nintendo has announced a new partnership with Edible centered around Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Starting next week, a wide array of delicious gifts will be available that tie in with the Switch game.

Original: Despite a lack of an official announcement, it looks like Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting the Monopoly treatment. Reddit user calysunflower came across the product over at Walmart, and was even able to make a purchase. That’s given fans an early look at how the Animal Crossing version of Monopoly is shaping up.
Four different versions of the villager are included as playable pieces. You’ll need to earn the most Nook Miles by purchasing decorations and using Nook Miles cards to trade resources and Bells. Bugs, fish, and fruit appear on the game board.

Nintendo closed out its 81st Annual General Meeting of Shareholders last week by tackling a question regarding classic products. One investor asked if there are future plans for a mini series like the NES and SNES Classic Editions or other online content.

Nintendo and esports tend to come up quite often. Although the company hosts tournaments from time to time, it hasn’t fully embraced the competitive scene.
During Nintendo’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders last week, president Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about Nintendo’s plans for esports moving forward. He did acknowledge that competition can help to “share the gameplay experience with a broader audience” while also continuing to generate interest for games/characters. More tournaments will be held in the future, but there’s currently no word on specifics.

During Nintendo’s 81st Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, one investor brought up media reports that say the company’s games don’t appear to fully take gender into account.
President Shuntaro Furukawa responded, mentioning how Nintendo feels “that diversity, including gender diversity, is very important.” He added that in terms of features for a particular game, “we must make decisions by taking into consideration a wide variety of factors, and we may not always be able to meet every request.”

Back in May, Chris Meledandri was nominated as a new outside director at Nintendo. He was then officially approved last week with a vote of 99.31 percent.
Meledandri’s addition to Nintendo may seem surprising to some. He’s the CEO over at Illumination – the studio behind the films Despicable Me and Minions.

Dark Samus amiibo receiving a reprint

If you missed out on the Dark Samus amiibo, you’ll be happy to hear that you’ll have another chance at adding the figure to your collection. A new listing just popped up today on Best Buy. According to the retailer, Dark Samus will be available once more on October 8.

New Nendoroids revealed: Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney, Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club

During a WonHobby Mini presentation at Anime Expo Lite, new Nendoroids were revealed. These include some figures based on popular games.
The Ace Attorney series will be represented with a couple of new additions. Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth will both be getting Nendoroids.
