Square Enix “making preparations” for Dragon Quest XII

A few hours ago, Square Enix announced the location services-based game Dragon Quest Walk for mobile. While we won’t really be covering it here as it’s not overly Nintendo-related, something interesting was said during the game’s announcement event.
According to series executive producer Yuu Miyake, he along with creator Yuji Horii “are currently making preparations on series developments that will connect to XII” – Dragon Quest XII, in other words. Miyake said:

Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition launches for Switch in Japan on August 29

Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition was announced earlier this year. At the time, it was said that the title would be releasing sometime this spring. While we’re still without a release date in the west, we do have some important news.
Natsume Atari announced today that it will publish Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition in Japan. The game even has a release date of August 29. Pricing is set at 4,800 yen.

Caladrius Blaze confirmed for Switch, Asian physical release to support English

Update: Caladrius Blaze will be released worldwide digitally, but the physical version will only be available in Asia and Korea.
Orignial: A few months ago, Caladrius Blaze was rated for Switch in Taiwan. It was a strong sign that Moss’ shoot ’em up would be heading to Nintendo’s console.
Play-Asia is now reporting that this will be happening, and very soon at that. H2 Interactive will distribute Caladrius Blaze for Switch on July 19. Best of all, Asia will be getting a very of the game with English support.

Devil Engine is hiding a demo for Devil Engine Ignition

The side scrolling shoot-em-up Devil Engine launched on Switch earlier this year. A few years ago, a new “Ignition” expansion was announced. What you may not have known is that a demo for the DLC is hiding in the original game itself.
The demo can be easily accessed by inputting a button combination on the main menu and using a particular code. Below are the full instructions:
Team Sonic Racing Switch tech analysis

Digital Foundry has offered a closer look at Team Sonic Racing on Switch from a technical perspective. After inspecting the game, one of the main takeaways is that it’s a very strong version.
Team Sonic Racing looks very visually similar on Switch compared to other versions of the game, Digital Foundry reports. There are some differences though, such as how the opening intro is missing on Nintendo’s console – which we mentioned previously.
